| America in prophecy! part 3 By John Crable People have got to be wondering what I am doing here with this website? My hope is that this may bring prophecy and apologetics to a few in this world. My hope is that someone somewhere will hope and endeavor in the Lord because of some information posted here! Maybe it's you that will get some nugget from God's word and turn it into some much greater good! Since its beginnings in January 2006 CLJC has logged almost 15,000 hits! The average number of site hits is about 300-1000 total page hits per month! While apologetics and it's main page have only logged 3200 hits ,its various other pages have logged close to twelve thousand more! Christmas usually experiences a higher volume of hits rolling into January. While that is small in scale compared to some prophecy websites it is not really going to be fully measured until the Tribulation! This website and the use of it are virtually piloted by free internet web hosting! So when the Rapture begins this site will go mainline! I feel at a time of mass hysteria this site may experience hourly overloads , people just searching for the truth of loved ones who have vanished! This sight will become a beacon for the lost! How is that possible? Well primarily for two reasons! One reason is that this website gets approx half of its traffic through Google, Yahoo and many other mainline search engines so you figure 200 or more hits monthly will come from these search engines now with absolutely no looming danger on the horizon! If we know that some 90 percent of all Christians don't read their bibles is it safe to say that 90 percent of a body of unbelievers isn't searching for this truth either! I would say that to be in a close range we could see an approximately 700-1000% percent increase in web traffic if the Rapture occurs! Now remember we get 200-400 hits monthly right now from search engines which means a hundred percent increase means 400-800 hits. We know the average will be much higher because it will follow a huge path of unbelievers who previously had an ability to learn about the Rapture, but will now truly seek what they need to know! The Tribulation will turn out a large amount converted to Christ we learn from the bible! If you take a scenario of a thousand percent increase for this sight from being Googled it will bring 8,000 possible hits per month that's 267 hits per day! Now that increase is more likely to be higher than lower because I have used conservative numbers for a situation that will be on chaos greater than the world has ever known! A more realistic scenario I feel involves thousands of daily hits to every prophecy website that exists that has any material to actually study! The second reason this sight is going to go over the top is because it offers a variety of articles on the Rapture ,and those that find themselves left behind( unbelievers) it may be a useful tool! You'll find you need a paper if you want the news, that is also the case if you encounter the Rapture! Your going to need information which can be understood ,and we here at CLJC have driven it home in several articles and in our page entitled "Left behind!" Now let us look to the third part of our series and focus on America. America in prophecy is not as in depth as one may think! Let me first start by saying this, in the years that I have studied the bible with the help of many bible teachers such as Perry Stone and Mark Martin and many others. I cannot specifically say that America dots its pages! If you search the scriptures for America you suddenly learn that the west is not an end times factor! Your search might include the topics of a western civilization that triumphs over evil in the last days! I assure you it isn't there! You may say well when does Russia appear in the scenario because that's when the United States comes into play! Russia or (Rosh) appears as Magog in Ezekiel 38:2 and 39:6 it also is found mentioned in Genesis 10:2 and 1st Chronicles 1:5 then last in Revelations 20:8! What remains are possible interpretations of scripture and they lead us in this direction! If we suppose the first and possibly best fitting scripture of what may be concerning the United States biblically we see this below! In this scripture their are a couple possibilities for calling either the United States the Babylon of the bible which literally in Hebrew means (type of tyranny)! The other possibility is that it is the European Union which is Babylon! Let's look: "And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." (Revelation 14:8) The Bible is replete with mentioning Babylon both symbolically and literally, but after its destruction and complete evacuation by 141 BC! Babylon becomes a territory and no longer a flourishing city! So if the Bible is mentioning Babylon it is most assuredly symbolically after this time! Now biblically speaking Babylon is mentioned throughout Revelations in the end times yet with the creation and restoration of Israel in 1948 being hugely prophetic in the placing of an end times scenario! We find no Babylon physically full of life on the map! It was somewhat rebuilt by Saddam Hussein in the 1980's but never fully finished! Let us now consider America in biblical end times there are kings in the battle of Ezekiel in the end times that come from the north, south and east to surround Israel! Ezekiel chapter 38 clearly describes Magog (Russia) coming down from the North with a great company of men! This king also brings Persia (Iran) and a few others! In Daniel’s 11th Chapter we begin to learn about the king of the south! In the latter days this kingdom he brings captives back into Egypt! So we certainly cannot assume it’s America! The king of the south could also be the European Union because of a great army headed north is also mentioned in Daniel chapter 9-11! Then we have the kings of the east found mentioned in Revelations 16:12 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” (Rev 16:12) These nations possibly China, North Korea, and possibly India all move toward Israel in the future battle! Now this leaves America in what position biblically. Well the first thing we know is that Israel our ally is very much alone! There is another interesting passage that gives us reason to believe that when Russia marches south towards Israel that other nations ask “What is it your doing?” Let us look at it closely! Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? (Ezekiel 38:13) Look at the part where it says young lions, this is the second and only other way in which I find that America could be exerting herself biblically at anytime in the latter days! America( the young lion) symbolically is a offshoot of Great Britain which is represented itself throughout history as the lion as it’s nations symbol! However you must realize that this is not proof of America doing anything but merely a possibility! Remember this also that if it is America than the best we do for Israel is just a mention to Russia about its hostile intent! Earlier in this chapter we mentioned the possibilities of the United States taking the role itself as Babylon! Let’s look at this next scripture which may be a little more revealing to what Babylon actually is going to encompass! “ And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.” (Revelations 16:19) \Why could this be the United States well look closely now because we see language that leads us to the conclusion that Babylon first is made up of many cities! Secondly it will be divided into three parts and last it is called great at the time of its destruction! The first conclusion I could draw for a great end time player is America. this is not far fetched because America is great and if it was to fall it would be catastrophic to the kings of the earth! All the things that concern Babylon mentioned in Revelations 14:8,16:19,18:2,18:10,18:21 all could be descriptive of the United States! The kings of the earth have all entangled themselves or been entangled by the United States! “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” (Revelations 17:2) I don’t want to paste this term on the United States but if we remember the high calling of God and think about what has happened to us ,and other nations throughout the past 100 years this verse tells a big story! Nations seek us out for help ,and we seek them out for commerce! Nations look to us in times of war, and they look to us in times of famine! Babylon and it’s definition which is an abomination to God is anything that keeps you from a Lord and Savoir and this is certainly a possibility! Now I am only covering possibilities for America, and while this could also be the European Union we must consider all the most plausible scenarios. Eventually though remember this Babylon is destroyed! Let us look at another possibility and that is Europe. Europe while parts of it are clearly mentioned in the bible. The bible doesn’t give us much for Europe in the way of linking it to Babylon. We are going to assume from scripture that Europe will be the seat and rise of the Anti-Christ’s kingdom! Yet the anti-Christ will seek entire world domination! How does that fit? It really doesn’t because the Antichrist could reside over the United Nations no matter what country he is from! So where does the European Union join into the end times? The European Union could be coming upon the scene as a superpower right along with China! Low debt and for right now a strong global currency enhance a strong and modern Europe. 500 million people with over 20 member states certainly makes the E.U. a heavyweight contender! Well lets search out Germany and Turkey and see where they are in the last days! “Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee.” (Ezekiel 38:6) This “Gomer” mentioned biblically in Ezekiel refers to the areas which we now consider as possibly Armenia, Eastern Germany, or north of Turkey! Togormah is the area of modern day Turkey with the Turkish people still calling themselves the “House of Togormah!” While the European Union certainly encompasses more than just Germany ,and with time in the next few years the E.U. may take Turkey into its fold! We can therefore at least assume that a vast army headed for Israel will turn out of what we call parts of modern Europe and head for the battle! So where prophetically does this put Europe? Well it is still possible for Europe to be Babylon, but this doesn’t exactly sit well to the mention of it’s destruction yet still being able to make war! Doesn’t sound right ,and it is not convincing! We need to be very clear about the most powerful nation on earth and draw to the closest fitting meaning we can associate to it! America is the most powerful nation on earth! Babylon was the most powerful city on Earth! America is made up of many cities! Babylon’s fall in the bible verse discussed above is of many cities! Kings of the earth wail because of Babylon’s fall! Kings of the Earth will certainly wail if the United States collapses. The earth had been made drunk with her fornication (Babylon or the United States)? You see we can subvert God out of our schools leaving 29 million children daily who do not invoke the name of Jesus in prayer. We can build cities that are grand ,and fill them with poverty for the poor and exceedingly lavish lifestyles for the rich! We can allow the desensitization of our youth to violence and a perverse lifestyle! We can live in a land where the middle class are becoming the lower class daily and in the largest numbers while only those wealthy will prosper! We can hope the government has a plan for a declining economy! We can rebuild cities ravaged by storms and let them party all night long! If you substitute evil for good and call it good your setting yourself up for the fall! “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20) Do we do this in America? I am not above caring for the people of this great nation, but I know it is very proud! Pride comes before the fall! Now if we as a people can stand for what is right and refuse that which is evil we can stand! Yet by the looks of the television programs we feed ourselves ,and our children, and the hugely corrupt political scene, we are morally going bankrupt! If you think God will allow sin to continue here in the United States your wrong I assure you he will deal with it as he did with Sodom and Gomorrah! He is this very same God who does not change ,and don’t be so proud as to say we are morally fine when I personally can just look to our newspapers daily to find thousands and thousands of things that with which God I am sure is not happy! We make a mistake when we think that one sin can be overlooked just one! God will not overlook one sin, not one! God will forgive a nation that repents from sin and a people that turn from sin and accept a Savoir in Jesus Christ! Is this what we are doing or are we stacked up as Babylon the great! I remember the day when I would step out my back porch and the neighbors would wave to me. I left my house unlocked and went for a nice ride on my bike! No cellular phone, and no walkman in my pocket! I remember a day when peace and peace of mind were something to be had and behold! Ronald Reagan said “ Mr. Gorbachov tear down your wall” Russia tore down the wall separating east from west! I remember a time when ice cream and football games and church were a thing to enjoy! God and family were the most important things here in America the beautiful! |
