| Welcome to our page on the card game, Animayhem. This card game, as you may have guessed, is based on Anime. There are several different types of cards: characters (which, as might be surmised, are characters from Anime series), combat cards (cards that affect what happens in combats), enhancements (cards that, well, enhance your characters abilities), equipment (items that enhance your characters abilties), flash effects (things that can happen anytime, to help you in tough spots), global effects (things that effect all of a group), havens (safe places), items (items), locations (places where items are hidden), and disasters, both minor and major (things that stand in your way. The enemy, the teki!). The objective of the game is to collect over half of the items, which are hidden under locations. This card game can be played one or two players, or more. On top of the items, yet under the locations, are two disasters, which could be enemies, or could be events. To unearth any of these cards, you have to spend a turn digging. What's even more challenging, is that every location has certain requirements that must be met, or else you aren't allowed to dig there. Characters have special abilities, such as Royalty, Student, and Martial Arts. These abilities are what let you dig at certain locations. To reach the items, though, you must first uncover the disasters, which are there to prevent you from winning. It is very frequent that the disasters will win instead of the character(s). There are several different series of Animayhem. There is Set 0, Set 1, and DragonballZ. Each of the different sets have cards from different Anime series. Set 0 contains cards from Tenchi Muyo (the OVA), El Hazard, Bubblegum Crisis, and Ranma 1/2. Set 1 contains cards from Project A-ko, Dominion Tank Police, Armitage III, Phantom Quest Corp. and Oh! My Goddess. DragonballZ contains cards from... well, we don't have to go into that, do we? Remember, all cards are based on the Anime, not the Manga. Don't expect to find cards relating to the Ranma 1/2 or Oh! My Goddess or any other Manga, if it isn't in the Anime. |
