THE MINIMUM TOOL KIT
A number of good reference books on the various facets of raising watergarden plants and fish.
Water test kits and the ability to use them an aquarium shop will show you how to do this properly.
Net on extension handle
Tool for triming dead flowers and leaves
Spare container of suitable size to maintain new fish for 30 day quarantine period
Assorted syphons and buckets
Plant pots and potting medium for various replanting purposes
Required fertilizers in tab or stake style
ITEMS A POND KEEPER SHOULD HAVE
Patches for liners, a cement plugging compound, fibreglass repair materials
Spare pump
Extra pipe and connectors
A secondary storage option large enough to hold all fish in case of emergency

Strong back
Shovel (transfering material from where it shouldnt be to where it should be)
Heavy steel prybar 5-6'long (large boulders loosening dirt)
wheelbarrow (moving materials)
pick (loosening dirt and rocks)
rake (sand dirt leveling and smoothing)
axe (roots)
movers dolly (for big boulders)
