Very historically accurate this movie was based on "Killer Angels" by Jeff Shaara it is about 3 hours long and tells the tale of the battle focusing on the 20th Maine commanded by Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain and on James Longstreet's role in the battle. | Glory is a famous movie starring Denzel Washington telling the story of the 54th Massachussettes infantry. The 54th was the first black unit in American history and was made famous for its bravery in battle. This movie shows in detail the problems faced by the 54th and how it paved the way for many other black units. |

| This series is unquestionably the best documentary of the civil war ever. Over 9 tapes this series takes you from the cuases through the war and its results. It traces the life of Elijah Hunt Rhodes and Sam Watkins through the war and has many appeeranes of famous historians like Shelby Foote. This is a must see for any civil war buff! | Although still filming this movie looks like a promising prequal to Gettysburg. It traces the lives of the famous characters in Gettysburg up until the Battle. When it comes out I would reccomend this film anyone who loves the civil war to see it. |
