Did you guys hear the huge gasp when we revealed Christina Aguilera's Rolling Stone cover? I think everyone was a little shocked to see that. She is BUCK NAK3D! Literally, completely holding a guitar. I don't even think she plays guitar. Too bad she wasn't just holding a microphone.

Aguilera's "Dirrty" video offensive to Thais In the boxing-ring scene in Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty" video, two posters written in Thai are visible. What they didn't know was that the text translates to "Thailand's Tourism" and "Young Underage s." A spokesperson for RCA Records said that they had no idea what they contained and added, "Please accept my deepest apologies." Aguilera's Thai label has prohibited the playing of the video on TV stations after protests were made.

BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) -- One of pop diva Christina Aguilera's latest music videos has Thais decrying not its explicit dancing and revealing costumes but a Thai-language billboard in the backdrop that alludes to the country's industry.
Saharat Wannachomphu, marketing director for BMG Thailand Co., the local distributors of Aguilera's new album, said the company had decided not to air the video for the song "Dirrty" on local television, the Nation newspaper reported Wednesday.
In the video, the scantily clad 22-year-old pop star dances in a boxing ring next to a wall with posters in Thai that read "Thailand's tourism" and "Young underage s."
Thai officials have expressed their dismay with the video, which was aired repeatedly by the Nation's cable television station on its news programs reporting the controversy.
The Nation newspaper quoted Preecha Kantiya, acting director for the government's Commission on Contemporary Arts Office, as saying local and foreign businessmen are too profit-oriented to present a genuine image of Thailand.
Instead, they preferred to use Thailand's seedier side to serve their business goals, he said.

Christina Aguilera has really set out to raise eyebrows with the launch of her all-new 'dirrty' image and the sure-to-be censored video which you can watch in full on dotmusic.
The video surpasses even the offerings of Madonna in her prime for scandal value as Christina gets into the boxing ring wearing minimal attire and proceeds to gyrate her way through the track.

'Dirrty' shifts Aguilera right into the hip-hop/R&B arena trading blows with heavyweight microphone specialist Redman and 'Lady Marmalade' producer, Rockwilder.
The video is directed by renowned photographer David La Chapelle.
The forthcoming album, 'Stripped', will continue the hip-hop/R&B theme with collaborations with Alicia Keys and Lil' Kim but also promises to take in rock, with Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction, and more traditional ballad territory.

The New Yorker quickly and neatly summed up the reaction that most had after Aguilera's latest clip hit the airwaves on Monday. The David LaChapelle-directed video sees the young singer clad in red panties, chaps and a top spar with a masked female boxer and writhe against an armload of female dancers while a shower drenches them all. And don't forget the fighting, mud wrestling, fire-eating, plushies, and female bodybuilding.
It's a far cry from the "Genie in a Bottle" who first emerged three years ago. "I just get really bored with sticking to the norm and having the proper conservative image. That's just so not me," Aguilera warned while her new album was taking shape. But steering clear of the norm seems to be turning off as many viewers as it's turning on.
"I think she's dirty," Minerva Materez observed. "She needs to go to church."
"She's trying to be like Britney Spears with all the guys dancing around her and being all ty," Alex Castro said. "Seriously, she looks like a total ho ... She should just stick to what she was doing." Of course, one man's is another man's dream come true.
"She's practically wearing nothing, but I like it," Matthew Morris said.
"She seems cooler, more of a party now," Donald McCarver said. "That's hot."
Others were even more enthusiastic.
"Wow, that's my baby's mama right there," Floyd Allen said while watching the clip. "Boo, I'll eat your toes, officially."

I think the world got a true glimpse of the real Christina Aguilera in the video "Lady Marmalade". No, I'm not saying she's a . It is more than pure degeneration of her dress sense or style. From the start, Aguilera has always been battling what her label wants her to portray vis-à-vis what she wants to do.
True, she is the only artiste in recent history that would make you go "what the hell is that wearing?" But really, Aguilera has a darker sensual side that is real, and much, much more gritty than wannabes like Mariah or Britney (I am talking about the dare to bare factor).
That aside, truth be told, every single she has ever put out proves beyond a doubt that this can truly sing. She does deliver the vocal goods and more. Just get past her image or better still, accept it. Then you can party with Aguilera!
Her latest single "Dirrty" (double R intended, it's no typo) is one mean dance machine. Sure it kind of reminds one of Michael Jackson during his "Bad" days, but how many female singers can pull that off? And pull it off she does, with style.
"Dirrty" is a taste of Aguilera's forthcoming album, entitled Stripped. This CD single has three versions of the song and features rap-man Redman. Produced by Aguilera and Rockwilder, this is supposed to be the kind of music that's been burning in Aguilera, and burning to get out! Consider it a much more version of her past hit "What A Wants".
The music video, which features Aguilera in WWF-like arena, is strictly not for the weak hearted. At the end of the day, this is one song that will crowd the dance floor.
My advice: be ready for the funkier and grittier (and even ier) Aguilera. Gone is the that amazed us with the ballad "Reflections".
Get filthy everyone!

From Popdirt.com: "The November issue of Interview magazine has a review of Christina Aguilera's new album 'Stripped' by Rebecca Wallwork. This is what she had to say,'Despite calling in producers like Pink's fairy godmother Linda Perry, Aguilera's most valuable asset is her voice, especially now that she's working the lower register. On 'Make Me Over,' it's a thrill to hear the caterwauler sounding like she's just woken up. While the lyrics plow fresher ground than genies in bottles ('I'm Ok' addresses her parents divorce), it's the range of style that Aguilera covers that makes this one of the best bets for the fall."
