SPORTS SHORTS
-The Chicago Bulls might be the first team in the history of the league to be the most improved team in the NBA and NOT make the playoffs.
-Eddy Curry will either be the most improved player of the year putting up 25 a game, or this might be his last season in the NBA.
-I love Duke basketball. I always will. However, UCONN is the team to beat this year. I argue they have more NBA talent than the 04-05 North Carolina squad.
-James Augustine can't possibly make the NBA. I know too many morons that think he's the best great white big man in the NBA.
-He's not even a big man.
-The only way Illinois can even come close to getting back to over 25 wins this year is through the young sophomores that got the limited PT last year.
-My preseason Super Bowl picks were Indianapolis and Atlanta.
-Yeah. I know. Atlanta?....
-In the NBA, I don't dare go against the Heat and the Spurs.
-The Rockets are the sleeper this year. Yao Ming might become a superstar this year.
-Most improved player candidate: Darco Milicic.
-I hope you're rooting for Miami to beat Virginia Tech this saturday. If you're not looking forward to the possibility of a USC-Texas title game, then you're not a college football fan.
-On a completely unrelated and hypocritical note, I'm rooting for Alabama.
-Don't be retarded. Matt Leinart is more valuable than Reggie Bush. It was Lendale White at tailback last year. What the hell is the difference?
-If Ohio State didn't have such a problem picking a quarterback, I might have considered them the best team in the nation. That defense is good and tough.
-Tennessee is in the same boat.
-Next year's World Cup Soccer champion will be England.
-If not England, then it's Ireland.
-A semi-final finish for the United States is for the first time in decades, not out of the question.
-The best poker player in the world is Phil Helmuth. He's a bitch, but never doubt his ability.
-The reigning world champion is NOT Greg Raymer.
-The reigning world champion is Annie Duke.
-That tournament of champions is the REAL world championship in my mind. NOT the World Series of Poker.
-Congratulations to Dan Pan who took 12th out of 100 in a weekly Trump Hold 'Em tournament. He was the chip leader from 5-10 blinds all the way to 2000-4000 where he proceeded to lose 2 near consecutive hands to bigger trips. Those were the only 2 hands he lost the entire tournament. Good job, Dan.
