My close guy friends put it best when describing what kind of friendships I have.

"Geez JT, you hang out with a lot of chicks."

And I suppose this is supposed to be a bad thing?

Seriously folks. I've been getting it from all sides and factions about the fact that it seems like most of my friends just so happen to be girls, and I think it's about time that I confirm the air about this whole thing just incase the millions of you out there were wondering.

First off, most of my friends are GUYS, NOT GIRLS, and 17 years and counting has brought more nights out with the guys than the girls. A guy can only tolerate so many sausage fests in a lifetime and it feels as though with the guys I've been around, a lifetime is exactly what I've experienced. I could live the rest of my life without ever having to have another "Guys night out." But that just isn't realistic of course. So alas, there will be many, many, many more "Guys nights out" before I perish. You guys out there just have to pick up the phone and ask.

Which brings me to this next point that the girls I know tend to be able to pick up the phone earlier than the guys. The average phone call from a guy friend with a planned activity seems to range in the "after 10PM" section of the day. The girls on the other hand usually get a hold of me before 10PM with the planned activity.

And not to fucking mention (this really pisses me off) that when you guys do manage to beat the girls to the phone, you guys want me to do the stupidest shit with you on a consistent basis.
I don't wanna "cruise for chicks" 5 nights out of the week.
I don't need to be at hooters 3 times a day, 6 days a week for a minimum of 300 days out of my year.
Zero gravity is for 10 year olds. If we go, we don't need to go back the next week cuz this one bitch would be willing to grind our nuts by then (and by the way Jim, that bitch that wanted to grind your nuts really was 10).
I won't go on a roadtrip if I'm the only one with money in my pocket.
And no, I don't wanna go to 137th and Kedzie to hire prostitutes.

The above mentioned aren't meant to be everyday activities, my friends. Once in a while, some of those are OK or might even be pretty good. For example: Hooters is an EXCELLENT place to hang out OCCASIONALLY, and I consider it a home away from home, but never a night in my life would I waste taking on prostitutes with you guys.

The other angrifying issue at hand is the indecisiveness of the guys. It shouldn't take 4 hours to decide to go to hooters nor should we be spending half of our night in the parking lot of a White Hen trying to figure out what the hell we want to do with ourselves.

It's pretty much as simple as that when it comes to me hanging out with a female majority as of late, but it doesn't really explain why I PREFER hanging out with girls over guys. Yes my friends, I PREFER to hang out with girls rather than guys, and not for the shallow reasons the guys out there are probably thinking.

Maybe it really isn't that simple.....
