STRATEGIES AND CHEATS
Go Through Fences
When you find a fence you want to go through go find a truck or van (something you crawl under instead of over when you press R1). Align the truck so it is parallel with the fence. Get out and crawl under the truck towards the fence, you should come up on the other side. Be careful though, you don't trap yourself in a fenced in area because once you slide through the fence you can't get back.

Avoid Hitting Pedestrians
Hate running over people and having the cops jump your back? Press the "special" button to honk the horn while in a car. This will slighly decrease the chance of running over a pedestrian.

Cheat Codes
Rename your character to one of these when starting a game:

GROOVY -- All Weapons
WEYHEY -- 9,999,990 points
BLOWME -- Coordinates
EATTHIS -- Wanted Level Max
THESHIT -- All items
TURF -- All Cities
MADEMAN -- All Cities and Weapons

Easy Guranga
Go up to a group of Gurangas, or the groups of people making noise and running around following each other. Now, don't shoot them, but instead beat up the person in the front. If you beat him up enough, they will start following you almost anywhere. It's a good way to get a guranga with a machine gun, flame thrower, or other high powered weapon of death.

Play Any Music CD While Playing
After the game has finished loading, replace your GTA CD with your own music CD. Although you cannot really choose which track to listen to, by switching between Radio and Constant while paused, then unpausing it, the track changes.

Easy Tank
On the first city, access the second scene (Heist All Mighty.) When you start, run somebody over and wait for the ambulance to arrive. When it does, nick it and drive to the army base, drive in and you can nick the tank.

Note: This only works with an ambulance or a police car.

Free Car Bombs
In San Andreas, the bomb shop on the southeast end of the Golden Gate bridge will rig your car for free. Enter it before you do anything, and the guy will tell you that you don't have enough money. But then the car is rigged anyway! It might work on other shops but I haven't tried it. My personal use for this is to rig the car they start you off with, since it won't disappear when you leave it, and then get it when you want to use the car bomb.

Car Bomb
When you start out on a level steal a car, but don't pick a big one or else the trick will be harder. Then keep searching for a garage door kinda thing that has an X coming out from it. Enter that place and your car will be rigged or in other words bombed. Then stop the car somewhere and press the FIRE button your car will be armed so get out of it within about five seconds or you will BLOW up! This trick is useful for jobs, killing and collecting money.

Note: You MUST have at least $5,000 dollars or you will not be able to get your car rigged.

Some Uses of the R1 button

1. Carsliding
You can slide over cars by running at them with X and hitting R1 you will slide over the car or if its a big object you will slide under it.
The advantages carsliding are gaining more ground when a cop is chasing you on foot, just run against traffic and slide over the cars. The cop will have to go around the car.
Another advantage of this is cop car stealing. When a cop is after you let him drive his car next to your guy. make sure you see what side the drivers side door is. Dodge his first bullet and try to lead him to the passanger side of the car by running away from the vehicle in that direction. Make a wide turn with your guy (if you make a sharp turn the cop will get too close and arrest you)and head back to the cop car. Jump over the vehicle with R1 steal the car with the Square button, the cop will not have enough time to go around the car to arrest you all he will do is shoot at your car.

2. In the car using R1 is a brake. You can do some quick turning make some nice skidmarks, you can even run over peoples bodies to make some red skids.

Bike Advantages
Bikes are not the best vehicles for stability, most the time a person isn't really on the bike but on the ground because they are easy to crash.
Even though they are hard to keep on they do have their advantages.
They are pretty fast, especially the super bike and if you can line one of those bikes on a line in a long road, you can easily get from one side of the city to the other.
They are the only vehicles that can go up latters ramps, and steps. Some of the secrets are revealed by doing this.

Fastest Car
You may think i'm crazy, but i think the fastest car is the bus. Yea, it takes a while to get going but if you go in a straight line on the road without hitting anything you are cruising. Maybe its not as fast as the Superbike or the cop car but its up there.

Circle Sliding
If you take any car and drive in circles without hitting the break in a open area, your car will start sliding sideways like a clock hand. Try driving the car after this, you'll just slide in that direction until you hit something.
