This is our Zelda 64: Ocarina of Time Strategy and secrets page. There are many
paths you can take to beat Zelda 64, but the best one is the hardest one and
most time-costly to take. However, some of these secrets can help you beat
those super-annoying baddies, like Stalfos, Wolfos, and Iron Knuckle.
The Best Sword (not the Master Sword)
The best sword you can get in the game is not the Giant's Knife (its as feeble as a
Deku Stick, and you cant even light it on fire). The most powerful sword in the
game, Biggorn's Sword, is very tuff to get and requires four major things: Epona
(win her at the Lon-Lon ranch), thaw out King Zora, plant a bean on Death
Mountain as young Link, and know where the heck Biggorn is. Biggorn is a
GIANT Goron who lives at the top of Death Mountain, near the crater and the
enterance to the Great Fairy's Fountain. You must be adult Link to get the
Biggorn's Sword and do the entire process of getting it. First, talk to the woman
in Kakariko village who was looking for her cocco's when Link was younger.
She will give you a pocket egg. After it hatches the next day, go into the house in
Kakariko village where Talon is snoozing and wake him up with the newly
hatched cocco. Take the happy cucco back to the woman who gave you the
pocket egg, and she'll exchange it for a Cojiro. Journey back to the Lost Woods
and when you get in, go directly to the left tunnel and show the Cojiro to the man
sitting there. He will give you an Odd Mushroom, which you must delivery to the
wierd woman selling potions in the house behind the ordinary potion shop. You
will only have a limited time to deliver the mushroom, and if time runs out, you
will have to start all over from giving the Cojiro to the guy in the Lost Woods.
The woman will make the mushroom into an Odd Potion. Go back to where the
guy in the Lost Woods was, and since the guy is gone, give it to the little girl in his
place in exchange for a Carpenters Saw. Deliver the saw to the carpenter across
the bridge at Gerudo Valley in exchange for a busted-up sword. Go visit Biggorn
and show him the sword, but since he needs a special eyedrop from the Zoras,
give him the sword in exchange for an eyedrop perscription. Show the eyedrop
perscription to King Zora, and give him the prescription in change for an Eyeball
Frog. You will have three minutes to deliver the frog to the professor at Lake
Hylia, so you must ride Epona to get there before the frog spoils. Once you
deliver the frog to the professor, he will give you some eyedrops, but you only
have four minutes to deliver them to Biggorn before they spoil. Playing warp
songs at any time will automatically give you one second left to deliver your items,
so don't play songs to warp. You will need to ride Epona fast as you can to
Kakariko Village, hurry to Death Mountain, use the bean you planted to take you
to near the hole, and hurry as fast as you can to Biggorn. He will take the
eyedrops, and they will immediately kick in. He'll give you a claim check for the
sword and, after a few days, you can come and get your new weapon: the
Biggorn's Sword, twice as powerful as the Master Sword. It only takes three hits
to kill a Stalfos with it, two hits to kill a Wolfos, and about seven hits to kill an
Iron Knuckle. It can only be used when Link is an adult, so you'll be stuck with
your weak Koriki sword as a kid.
The Great Fairies
There are six Great Faries in Hyrule. Three must be gained when Link is young
and the other three when he is older. The only required fairy that you must find to
beat the game is the one near Hyrule Castle when Link is young. The three Link
can get when he is young are the ones on Death Mountain, near Hyrule Castle,
and in Zora's Fountain. You'll need bombs for all the Great Fairies just
mentioned. The one at Death Mountain is hidden behind a bombable wall next to
the enterance to Death Mountain Crater, which gives you a cool sword spinning
attack that costs magic. The Great Fairy near Hyrule Castle is behind a rock that
you must bomb just beyond the gate on the trail to Hyrule Castle, which gives
you the only Great Fairy gift needed to beat the game, Din's Fire, which makes a
huge dome of fire around you for a few seconds that can hurt enemies and also
light torches and burn cobwebs. The Great Fairy at Zora's Fountain is behind a
fake wall that you can bomb on a small island with a few trees. The fairy inside
gives you Farore's Wind, which can make a warp point when you use it once and
then warp you back to the point when you use it again. The three Great Fairies
you can get when you are adult Link are near Ganon's castle, in Death Mountain
Crater, and at the Dessert Collosus. The one near Ganon's Castle doubles your
defense against enemies, but you need the Golden Gauntlets to lift the giant rock
which is blocking the enterance to the Great Fairie's Fountain. The one in Death
Mountain Crater doubles your magic meter, and all you have to do is destroy the
rocks blocking the entrance to the fountain with the Megaton Hammer. The final
one near the Dessert Colosus gives you the spell called Naryu's Love, which
creates a protective crystal around you for a few seconds. The enterance to this
fountain is near a palm tree around the outer wall of the Dessert Colosus area
where you must bomb the wall to gain enterance to the fountain.
The Golden Skulltulas
In Kakariko Village, there is a family cursed and the only remedy to this curse is
to destroy 100 Golden Skulltulas. The five cursed children take 10 golden
Skulltulas each to cure, but the last person takes 50 to cure. You must collect the
token that the Gold Skulltula leaves behind for it to count, and most Gold
Skulltulas must be found at night. Here is a list of what each person gives you,
what it does, and how many Gold Skulltulas it takes to cure that person.
10 Tokens: Adult Wallet- Lets you carry up to 200 rupees
20 Tokens: Stone of Agony- If you use a rumble pack, it rumbles each time you

of the exact locations of all of them, I can tell you how many can be aquired in

A: In the room where there is a grid floor, lava below you, and fire chasing you,
there are two doors: one leading to the left tower, and one leading to the right
tower. The one leading to the right tower is on the far side of the room when you
enter, and the one leading to the left tower and the flame-trap room is on the left
