The arena concerts have nearly all finished now with the first part of the tour coming towards the end. With over 300,000 fans performed to by the time this part has finished it has certainly been an resounding success for all involved.

Every single venue sold out to a capacity crowd which is a simply amazing accomplishment for any act. What's even more impressive is that STEPS are now selling out concerts for the summer open-air mini-festivals and their Christmas tour faster than any other tour they've done. On the weekend the winter concerts went on sale over 40,000 tickets were sold in only two days, making it the fastest selling tour by the five stars. Clearly everyone liked what they saw and are going back for another entertaining night out with pop's most fun live act. One of the areas of each concert that got a lot of praise was the visually stunning set. With it's urban setting it surprised many people as it is so much more detailed than past stages. Dancers have a multitude of areas to cover from twisting stairs to a fireman's pole, everything was there for a reason and added to the overall feel of the shows. Having special effects and scenery is all very well and good, but it's of no use to anyone without the one critical aspect to a concert - you! Luckily fans flocked to see STEPS in their thousands every night for over a month and with each concert came an incredible number of seats needed to cater for each person. The size of each arena is vast with row upon row of chairs lining their floors. Simply walking into an indoor area so huge can be a jaw dropping sight to behold. Wembley, although not quite the biggest UK arena is huge, and puts others to shame. It's also the one place all acts wish to play at because it is such a legendary venue. STEPS have now been lucky enough to play there nearly twenty times.

Tour Intro - Last year STEPS did a bit of touring. Well to say they did a 'bit' of touring would be the understatement of the last millennium. STEPS were the biggest touring act of the year performing in front of hundreds of thousands of people all around the world. Now their doing it all again on the biggest pop tour you, STEPS themselves, the UK, and even the world has ever seen, a total of at least 65 concerts. And you can be a part of this once in a lifetime event.

In 1999 they actually went on three huge tours, each one of them being a complete sell out, as well as performing at a number of huge events such as the Capital FM Party In The Park with it's 100,000 strong audience. In the summer they went on a 2 month tour in the USA with Britney Spears which sold out. But their first tour was the Step One theatre tour at the start of 1999. Unprepared for the demand STEPS had to continuously add a new date every week until they had booked up nearly every theatre and town hall in the UK. It was such an amazing experience for the five popsters they decided that they simply had to get back on the road before the end of the year. This time however, the band were ready for the requests for tickets and announced the first few arena concerts. But it happened again! The number of dates sold out within weeks and more were needed. So many infact that 33 dates made up the final number which not only meant even more people could join STEPS at one of their concerts. It also shot past previous record holders securing them a place in the Guinness Book Of Records and a special Brit Award for having the biggest tour ever held in the UK!

There is a reason for the success of the band's concerts, and that's the atmosphere, each concert is just like one of the biggest parties you'll ever have been to. When the words 'STEPS' and 'tour' are mentioned in the same scentence you know there is only one thing to do - get on that phone as fast as possible to ensure a place at one of their overwhelmingly popular poptastic concerts before all the tickets are snapped up. Walk into one of the many arenas and you will find that everyone is having a good time, from kids, to teenagers, to the teenager's parents and even the parent's parents! To see 15,000 people dancing along in unison with Lee, Claire, Lisa, Faye and H to one of their many hit singles or tour only songs is a great in itself. It's fun for everbody and a totally unique experience to the band STEPS as the style of the concerts could never be recreated by anyone else.

The five members of STEPS have all been to concerts and they know exactly what constitutes as a good time. They built upon all of their own experiences and came up with a formula that is helped only by the band's fresh and exciting image, and of course those uplifting pop songs we all know and love! The idea behind each concert is to see every single person have a good time and to ensure that no-one is short changed. And this principle has been the secret to the tour's success with people flocking back to see pop's finest at their current Steptacular tour. Nearly all of the arena dates have now completely sold out, and the open-air dates to be held in the summer are following the same route as tickets are selling out by the truck load. The new set is going to get audiences wowing at each of the arenas, and most importantly, it's going to get people partying! Especially for this tour the band themselves have written a number of songs which will be performed for you. All the massive hits and favourites will be seen with added twists and of course there will be plenty of surprises. So be ready for a night that you will remember for the rest of your life.
