Destiny's Michelle goes gospel
Updated: 19 Apr 2002
Destiny's Child star, Michelle Williams, admits she didn't know what she was doing when she started in the group. She reckons she's learnt a lot from being part of Destinys Child, although it was tough-going when she first signed on:
"When I first got in the group... there were a lot of tears being shed because I didn't know what the crap I was doing."
Her first solo album, the gospel-themed 'Heart To Yours', hit shops in the US this week. Michelle insists the solo move doesn't mean an imminent Destiny's split. She says the girls are happy to be doing their own thing for a while:
"There wasn't even a question on who would do what, because everybody felt the type of music they wanted to do. And gospel music was definitely what I wanted to do. It's what I grew up doing."

Enrique returns the favour
Updated: 16 Apr 2002
Enrique Iglesias may return the favour Mickey Rourke did for him when the actor appeared in the video for 'Hero'.
Enrique has filmed a cameo in Mickey's new flick, 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico'. This is the follow up to 'Desperado' with Antonio Banderas back once more, joined by Mickey and Johnny Depp.
Although he is taking a risk, Enrique reckons this film can't go wrong: "When you're surrounded by such good actors who are so professional and have been doing this for such a long time, it's only going to make you more professional and be better at it."
