WHAT MAKES A DAD

Sean and Silverwolf.. It takes a very special man, to be a Dad, such as Silverwolf! Photo take 12-25-2001

Seems like a simple question.
But really, it's not.
Many men are fathers,
Not all fathers are Dads...

I have shared with all of you,
that I am an adopted Mom of four,
Plus a foster mom of 200.
I can attest to the fact, first hand
that all fathers are NOT dads.

IT TAKES A SPECIAL MAN TO BE A DAD
To be able to love, unconditionally..
To listen, with his heart, not just his ears..
To pin on the crosage for the prom..
To have arms, strong enough to hold..
through the good times and bad..
To be able to mend a broken heart..
To stroke a fevered brow..
To praise and encourage..
To applaud and cheer every accomplishment,
no matter how small..
To be willing to dicuss every uncertainty
no matter how trivial..
To have an "open door" policy for his childrens friends
To be there, night or day,
Through the good times and bad..
To wipe away tears,
And bring on the smiles..
To be able to reach down inside and
bring out his own hidden child like qualitys..
These are the true measures of a Dad...

These are some of the many attributes of SilverWolf...

When SilverWolf met our family, he not only accepted,
he embraced what we stood for. He loved our uniqueness.

For this and a thousand other reasons,
We are blessed to have him as the Dad in our family......

SilverWolf personifies a poem written some years ago,

"NOT FLESH OF MY FLESH,
NOR BONE OF MY BONE..
BUT DON'T YOU FORGET
FOR A MINUTE,
YOU WEREN'T BORN FROM UNDER MY HEART,
BUT IN IT..."
