| Do your homework before you buy. |
 |
The most important thing in buying a vehicle is the test drive. Make sure
you take the vehicle out for a thorough test drive. You want to take it on
the highway, if the dealer will not let you, find one that will. Every one that
I have dealt with will always allow a highway test.
The second most important thing is to compare it to comparable vehicles in its
class in terms of features. GM websites have a great compare tool. It works
very well. They first let you compare it to its nearest competitors, but you can
select an option to compare it to anything.
---Here is a list of GM Sites:
-------GM - www.gm.com
----------- Buick - www.buick.com
----------- Cadillac - www.cadillac.com
----------- Chevrolet - www.chevrolet.com
----------- GMC - www.gmc.com
----------- Oldsmobile - www.oldsmobile.com
----------- Pontiac - www.pontiac.com
----------- Saturn - www.saturn.com
A list of all car manufacturers is available on our links page or by clicking here
Also important is resale value. You can compare resale values at Car Prices by clicking HERE. (This Service is great and free) This service is free. I suggest comparing one of the same model about as old as how long you plan on keeping it then doing the same for a competative vehicle.
Knowing what others think of the car is also important, so try the free service at www.rateitall.com or www.deja.com to see what their raters and users think.
