If I get 300 Votes or more at the end of January, I will put on my download page, Pokémon Crystal for the Gameboy Emulator. Don't have an emulator? Download it from my site, in Emus and Roms under Downloads. Unlike other sites, they say they will give you Pokémon Codes, cheats, or whatever. They say they will give you secret HMs, TMs, Pokémon, but it never works. However this is real. The more you vote, the closer you'll get to downloading Pokémon Crystal. Heres what the intro looks like.
Whats New in Pokémon Crystal?
*Capture Pokemon #251, Celebi.
*Choose to play as a boy or girl Pokemon trainer.
*Trade Pokémon through a real cell phone.
*Play on Pokémon Stadium Gold, Silver & Crystal (Japanese)
*It will be a Game Boy Color game only.
*It will be able to support the Game Boy Printer, Game Link Cable, Infrared Port, Transfer Pack, and Mobile Adapter.
*Crystal is much like how Pokemon Yellow (Pikachu Edition) was for Red and Blue. Pokemon *Crystal is an upgraded version of Gold & Silver, with some nice improvements. There won't be any new Pokémon because that would mess up the ability to play Crystal on Pokémon Stadium Gold, Silver & Crystal.
*The most exciting thing people are going to like is the fact that the mysterious Celebi can be captured in Crystal. After receiving the GS Ball you can fight Celebi in the Ilex Forest where the shrine is.
*Another new feature is when you change routes or enter a city. At the bottom of the screen a wooden-like sign will pop up telling you what route or city you are in.
*Some Pokémon learn new moves, like Dugtrio knows Tri-Attack and Eevee learns Baton Pass.
*The Goldenrod Pokemon Center has grown into a huge Pokemon Communication Center where you can get information about the Mobile Adapter.
*Suicune is a major player in the game. Once you waken up the Legendary Beasts in Ecruteak City, you can see Suicune on the map when you're walking around. It will run away, through, once you approach.
The Unown Puzzles have changed.
What is new however is pretty neat. For one, instead of playing as a male character, players will have the choice of playing as a male or a female character. Many female players will definitely like this addition that has been neglected to be put in any of the games.
In addition to the new trainer, there have been a lot of graphical improvements. Nothing to be amazed about, but it does add a little more improvement to an already great game. When you go into a battle, the opposing Pokemon will animate when it appears. Nothing that fancy, but it improves the previously still battle screens. Since the addition of these animations, you can expect to see Crystal as a Game Boy Color game only. Check out our PictureDex for Crystal animations. Also improved are the towns and houses. They look a lot better since Nintendo made this an Color ONLY game.
Now what exactly is this Mobile Adapter GB going to do for the game? Well the Mobile Adapter will let players link up their Game Boy through the game link port with a cellular phone. With this link up, players can now battle friends while being several houses if not cities away. This is the perfect addition since about everyone in Japan has a cell phone, and unlike here in the US, can afford it since it is a lot cheaper. However, since the cell phone craze hasn't hit the US as big as it has in Japan, Nintendo of American will most likely not release this feature in the US. Nintendo of America could possibly design a modem like add-on which would virtually do the same thing as a cell phone could, just not as mobile.
Other possibilities with the Mobile Adapter will let players to possibly access hard to get Pokémon characters through trading with friends, or possibly Nintendo officials. Perhaps those Shiny Pokémon won't be as hard to get now.
The Mobile Adapter is expected to come out in Japan in January 2001, and Pokémon Crystal has already been released in Japan on December 14, 2000. No other release dates have been set outside of Japan.

Pokémon Yellow, Surfing Pikachu.
Pikachu's Beach is what the little mini-game is called that can only be accessed by a Pikachu with Surf in the house directly south of the Fuchsia City PokéCenter. The Pikachu you start with cannot learn Surf so you may ask, "How the heck do I get a Surfing Pikachu?!?"
The only two ways you can do it now is by entering Nintendo Power's contest for Surfing Pikachu, or by using a game-enhancing device like Gameshark.
The third way cannot be achieved yet because it requires Pokémon Stadium. And since that hasn't been released yet, the Surfing Pikachu you can earn on that game cannot be transferred to your Gameboy.
So, cheaters, you want to know how to get a Surfing Pikachu with Gameshark? Well, before you begin messing around with your game, Gameshark codes always have the possibility to erase your game, so be careful. First for this to work you will have to sacrifice your Pikachu for the sake of playing Pikachu's Beach. The only thing that will happen is that Surf will overwrite one of your previous learned moves. Move your Pikachu to the first position and enter this code:
013973D1
If you don't want to sacrifice Pikachu then get a put a Pokémon you don't really care about changing to a Pikachu in the first slot. Then enter the following codes to get a Surfing Pikachu:
015463D1
013973D1
Now your Pikachu will have Surf and you'll be able to Surf on Pikachu's Beach!
So what is Pikachu's Beach like? Well all you do is push left or right when going over the waves to do flips in the air. If you don't wipe out when you hit the water you'll get 50 points for one flip and 150 points for more than one.
If you look in the lower right of the screenshots you'll see a HP counter, it acts like a timer and is constantly going down. Whenever you score points, the points are added to the counter, so the more flips landed the more experience your Pikachu will earn when it reaches the shore.
Once you think you've earned the highest score you can get, the Gameboy Printer will allow you to print out your score to amaze all your friends of your surfing ability! WOW.
That's about all that this mini game is. It's not much, so if you don't want to sacrifice your Pikachu you don't have to.
