Regular Codes

Duplicate Items and Pokemon

1. Choose the Pokemon and the item that you want to duplicate.
2. Equip the chosen item on the chosen Pokemon.
3. Log onto Bill's PC and Save the game.
4. Deposit the chosen Pokemon.
5. Switch to another box.
7. When it says "Saving...DONT TURN OFF THE POWER" Directly after it says power, turn off the game
8. When you turn it back on, you should have the duplicated Pokemon in your line up and the Pokemon w/ item in the PC.

Comments: Best code for the Gold and Silver!

Change Normal Pokemon to Shining Pokemon

If you want the full benifit of this code, use a Pokemon that can evolve. Otherwise, there will be some confusing with names and so forth.

First place a flying Pokemon that has been taught FLY as the first Pokemon in your line up, the "Golden Gyarados" in the sixth position. And the Pokemon whose color is to be changed in the second position.

After doing this, put all the pokemon back into the PC exepct the first one. Next, take out the Pokemon that was in the second position before, the one that will be changed.

Enter the bug-catching contest that is near Kogane city. This is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. As soon as you enter it, exit right away. When the clerk asks you if you want the quit, say NO.

Now use your Flying Pokemon to FLY out of the contest. Store the Pokemon that will be changed in the PC, then go back to the contest and say YES to complete the contest. Return the PC, withdraw the Pokemon and check its status screen. The Pokemon will be Gold or a diffrent color and will have Gyarados' name.

Level the Pokemon until it evolves. (Rare Candies is fine). Now when you go into battle with the evolved form of the orginal Pokemon, it will have the shining status.

Comments: This code is fun to do and the outcome is worth it

Multiply Pokemon
Use the Daycare center in Goldenrod City. Breed the same Pokemon with opposite genders. Give the female Pokemon to the Lady and the male Pokemon to the Old Man. Walk around for a while (enough for one Pokemon to gain a level) the Old Man will be standing outside where your Pokemons are. He will ask you that he has an Egg and if you would like it. Say yes, walk around for approx. 5000 steps for the Egg to hatch.
Comments: This is a heck a lot better than duplicating in RBY!

Breed any Pokemon with Ditto
Give the male/female Pokemon to the Man/Lady and give Ditto to the alterate and they will breed because Ditto acts as a wildcard and can breed with any Pokemon with a Gender and not a pre-evolution.
Comments: Great! Now I don't have to catch two of every Pokemon I want to breed.

Fight Trainers Forever
There are some special trainers that will give you their phone number, talk to them after you battle them and you can register their number and they will call you in a while for a rematch. Some of these trainers are near the entrance of "Ice Cave", a girl near the entrance of Victory Road, Route 26, and Route 28.
Comments: This is a neat trick if your ever short on money and need to beat a couple of trainers!

Rare Pokemon Trick
When you come to a rare Pokemon that you can only catch once, suck as Lugia or Ho-Oh, go next to it, don't press any buttons and save right before you fight them.

Now fight them as usual and if you catch him, don't worry, you won't need the code. If you lose, kill him, or run out of Poke Balls, then turn off the game w/out saving and you will have another chance to catch him, continue until you finally capture it!
Comments: This is great for all versions because you can catch Mewtwo, the Legendary Birds, or Snorlax with this code!

Get Togepi
After you beat Flanker (first gym/Violet City) go to the Pokemon Center. You will see a scientist from New Bark Town. Talk to him and he will give you and egg. After approx 5000 steps the egg will hatch to a level 5 Togepi.
Comments: Gold/Silver are the only games Togepi are avaliable.

Catch Pokémon Easier
Cheat Submitted By: dbzjj@hotmail.com
If you put a Pokemon to sleep or paralyze it and it has a low HP, you may have a better chance of catching that Pokemon.

Change Time
