ACHIEVEMENTS
The Association derives its funding from membership fees and from royalties accruing from sale of its major text book project - Caribbean Home Economics in Action Books 1,2, and 3. textbooks used in secondary schools throughout and beyond the Caribbean. In keeping with its objectives it has utilised part of its funds for training its members, conducting workshops, providing book grants and scholarships, providing technical assistance to member territories on request, holding professional biennial conferences, producing and distributing to its members informative and educational newsletters and magazines and participating in international conferences.
The Caribbean Association of Home Economists (CAHE) is affiliated to the International Federation of Home Economics (IFHE), the American Association of Family and consumer Sciences (AAFCS) formerly the American Home Economics Association (AHEA), and is twinned with the Toronto Home Economics Association (THEA) which played a major role in the production of the three text books. CAHE is also a member of the Network of Non-Governmental Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago for the Advancement of Women.

A major achievement of CAHE is the production of a Directory of Home Economists in the region and a Code of Ethics

· Policy formation for food and nutrition, family life, Consumer Affairs, Women's Affairs
· Preparation of curricula
· Publication of school texts
. Publication of recipe book, "An adventure into Caribbean Cuisine"

.CONTRIBUTION TO THE CARIBBEAN REGION
Our achievements and contributions to the region are numerous. Of major consequence is:
1. The Production of text books: Caribbean Home Economics in Action
Books 1, 2, 3. This is used in all schools in the region.
2. Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) subjects in Home Economics at
the CSEC and CAPE proficiencies.
3. Consultation and staff to Degree granting institutions - The University of Guyana, University of the West Indies , University of Technology.
4. Jamaica, Barbados Community College.
5. Gender Equity in Home Economics
6. Scholarships, Book Grants and awards to students of Home Economics.
7. Integration with other subjects.
8. Training workshops around the region.
9. Research Projects
