| Pokemon Card Game comes out to Gameboy color! Unfortunately, this game seems to be ignored due to the coming of Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Gold/Silver versions. It really needs more attention! It is such a good game! You get a free special promo card with the game too! Fans of the Card game are going to get a kick out of this game! It plays exactly like the card game does, and if you have nobody to play against, just play against the CPU! The best part of this game is that you don't pay $5 for each booster, you win them from other card players if you beat them! So you don't need to waste your hard-earned money on 20 booster packs! The card collecting part is much like the original Pokemon. There are over 200 different cards in the game (226 to be exact), 1st series, Jungle series, and Fossil series. To get them all, I'm sure you have to go through a series of trades. Though you can get pretty far without trading. You can also print out your cards on the Gameboy Printer. Pretty cool if you want to have a miniature card battle. Another little feature in the game is that you can fight the card CPU players whenever you would like, and win as many cards as you'd like. You start out by getting a deck of your choice from Dr. Mason the Pokemon Cardguy in your game. You have a Rival just like in Red, Blue, and Yellow version. His name is Ronald. You'll have to battle him throughout the game. There is also a Pokemon Tournament held on every now and the game. You have to beat 3 people in a row to get the prize. There are also 8 clubs with 8 different club leaders that you will have to beat in order to try and get the legendary cards. |
