Kazakhstan is a country in central Asia and an ex-USSR satellite. The country gain its independence in 1991; year of multiple separations (Yugoslavia,Turmekistan...). The country is govern by president Nursultan Nazarbaev; you can find his official site at www.president.kz.Or you can also have documentation on Kazakhstan at this address www.kazakhstan.com, and this site contains much more information about geographical situation, weather, languages, ...Kazakhstanis speak Kazakh and Russian.A lot of people now speak english like my Kazakh friend Vic who doesn't speak fluent english but was able to talk to me about what happened in the Balkans through ICQ.The level of education is pretty good over there, even though some people think it's bad because it was communist.
I don't know what I find so great about that country, but I can't help it. I'm just a fan of Kazakhstan. What I like the most about Kazakhstan, is their hockey players. Virtually they are russian hockey players with less budget. In the 1998 junior championship in Finland, Kazakhstan beated the Canadian junior team that was rated number one overall. Before that year the beated Iceland 73 to nothing, that of course in a lower pool. Very good for a 5 years old team; just imagine in a couple of years what they gonna be with future stars like Nicolai Antropov and Evgeny Nabokov !!! Take a look at the Kazakh ice hockey site... http://www.site.kz/KAZhockey/
