| I saw this on a post one day and i think all fans need to know this. I really like what is said here and I want to thank Em for letting me use it.If you have anything to say about this please e-mail me with your comments and i wiil post them with your permission So! I know you all are DYING to meet the Backstreet Boys. You're just like me. You dream of becoming the next Littrell, McLean, Richardson, Carter, Dorough. But are you really being the *perfect* fan? Here's what it takes! First off-Acceptance-Accept the guys for everything they have become. Accept them and their music for all it is worth. Accept them for being normal and regular guys w/ lives that some people wish they could lead. Learn to accept that they can't go to the grocery store, they can't go to the movies on a Friday night. Accept that they are the most hyped group in the music industry these days. Also! Respect the guys! I mean! MY GOD-I read some of the things that us (as fans) have done to get the famous Backstreet Boys' attention. Like taking a chunk of Nick's lawn at his home estate. To Bashing Brian's Girl friend because she "stole your man" To trying to rip off Kevin's shirt-with HIM still in it!! To even trying to cut off Howie's pony tail. Once a fan Flashed AJ when he was performing on stage! okay, so we all love em'-Practically to death! But PLEAZZE people!! We can still be fans to them, without acting like crazed maniacs. And what do you think the guys think of that behavior? You don't think they actually smile and say "what a dedicated fan" do you?? NO! I am sure they feel this behavior is out of control and annoying. Okay and when you push, shove or yell at other fans you’re forgetting that someone out there will do the same thing to you one day. Remember to be nice, they’re here for the same reason that you are... THEY LOVE THE BOYS JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO!! AND MY BIGGEST PEEVE!-- When you just blurt out a not so pretty word about their girlfriends. Well all I have to say is put yourself in her place (I know you do all the time!). How would you feel? Keep in mind that she puts up with a lot, and you don’t want her to get the wrong impression about us fans do you? Also, you should be happy that they have someone special to share their dreams w/-Someone to kiss good night. Someone to be w/ and just love. Someone who lends support in everything you do. Be happy that "your man" is happy. There must be something good about the girl, because she was able to steal the heart of one of the Boys. Stop being so negative about them!!! There is a boundry that some of us are willing to cross. Just to get the attention of one of them. It's different when you buy everything of the BSB and support them through tough times and difficulities (i.e Brian's heart surgery, Howie's sister passing away) But when you are so obssessed that you bash their girlfriends all the time, and write nasty things about them-you aren't being a good fan. You really aren't even being a fan at all. So please listen to what I have to say!! Because in the end, you'll be "The Perfect Fan" the Backstreet Boys are looking for!!
