Gemini Holders
Please note this list is currently incomplete! (13 of 18 found)
Goldwood: Outset
Go inside the King Jeff's hut and hump up the stone platforms that line the inside of the room. Up on the top is a Gemini Holder.
Near the end of the level after crossing the bridge over the small river of water, look to one side and you will see another one waiting for you.
Goldwood: Interior - At the very conclusion to this level you can find an outcropping of natural stone stairs that lead down to a small area. Here there is another Gemini Holder.
S.S. Anubis: Hold - In the first room you enter where Magnus awaits, look to the left, and jump onto some boxes that are beneath a chest.
Tawfret: Bog - In the second area of this level there are two are two exits, one of them a Life Force door. Head through this and you will enter a new area with some Tribals and a Gemini Holder.
Sekhmet: Battle Cruiser
From the start, go to the left into the huge room and then make another left turn into the Life Force door. In here on your right is another Gemini Holder.
In the room directly before the area with the Green Key beneath the glass, there is one to the side of a door that you can pick-up after fighting some enemies.
Cerulean: Dune
Once you kill a regular blue ant to the right, in the open field, a life force door will open in the pathway you were just in. inside, is one of the famous mole brothers, and a Gemini Holder.
After leaving the chamber with the Yellow Key, Totem Pole, and pack of Tribals, you will enter a huge green cavern with many doors leading off to side rooms. In one of these rooms is a Gemini Holder.
Ichor: Military Base - In the area where the metal tubes try to shove you off of the side of a platform there is another Gemini Holder. Look for a ramp that leads down into a small area with this relatively unguarded pick-up.
Spawnship: Troop Carrier - Once you enter the room with lava lining the floor, carefully peer over the edge to the left. If you are standing on the very first platform you stand on when you come in, you should see another small ledge just above the surface of the leve with another Gemini Holder.
Rith Essa: Bluff - Start climbing up the path in the beginning of the level that leads up to the peak of a hill. About halfway up the trail turn around and face back at the waterfall and a platform behind near it. As Lupus, jump as far as you can and use your boosters to barely make it to the platform to pick up the Gemini Holder.
Eschebone: Thorax - In the chamber with a pool of water and an underground tunnel submerged beneath the surface there is also a small rocky island. On this small island is a Gemini Holder for Lupus.
Shurikens in Goldwood
To get the shurikens in Goldwood, you must have the yellow key. To get the yellow key, go to the room with the geyser. The room is full of drones. Go to the left fork. Go sraight until you get to the room with the tribals. Blast the boxes. In one of the boxes, the yellow key will appear. Go back to the area where you first met King Jeff. Off to the left, you can spot a penninsula surrounded by water. Go in and blast the Big Guy and over to the left bank, you will spot a weapon vault containing the Shurikens!
To Kill Fish
As any character on any level of the game that has water with fish, drop a grenade or some other explosive in the water near the fish and detonate the explosive. If the fish are in the blast range they will float to the surface dead.
Get Your Shurkin Back
Have you ever thrown a shurkin too high and you can't get it back? Well, I found out how to get it. It is a fairly simple trick, just aim your pistol at the shurkin and fire (if it is too far away you might try your sniper riffle).
Extra Title Screens
After you complete important objectives, you will get new pictures at the Jet Force Gemini Title screen
Nothing: Juno running on his ship.
Free Vela: Juno and Vela running on their ship.
Put Floyd back together: Juno and Vela running, with Floyd flying on their ship.
Find Lupus: The whole team running on their ship
Beat Mizar for the first time: The whole team running with upgraded armor in Mizars Pallace.
Beat final Mizar: Juno, Vela, and Lupus walking down a runway with normal armor, on Earth.
Get Your Shurkin Back
Have you ever thrown a shurkin too high and you can't get it back? Well, I found out how to get it. It is a fairly simple trick, just aim your pistol at the shurkin and fire (if it is too far away you might try your sniper riffle).
Hard To Find Tribals
These are the hardest Tribals to find. These have been placed in some pretty well hidden areas.
Sekhmet: As Juno mead into the lava room. In there jump into the lava, and run around until you see a pipe with a grate in it. Jump into the pipe and a door will open. Explore the room until you find a chest with the Blue Key, and a door on the ledge above. Enter to find two hidden Tribals.
Rith Essa: As Vela get the mine key, and explore until you find the elevator. When you are at the elevator explore the area for a jetpack fuel symbol. You may have to either go up or down using the elevator. When Fueld fly up the elevator shaft to a hidden door containing two Tribals and a bonus Totem.
Ichor: As either Juno or Vela go to the Perimeter stage. Play until you get to the room with the Deflector Drones (The ones with shields). Play through that area until you get to the jetpack fuel icon. Then head back to the beginning of that room. Fly onto the first large wall (The one you see directly in fronto of you when you enter the room). While on it use a flare, and look at the wall. You should see a small hole. If you don't see it you are either facing the wrong way or are on the wrong wall. Then fly into the hole, and crawl to the ttwo hidden Tribals.
Tawfret: Go to the place where you got the Flares. This is in the area where you first meet Gilmet. Enter the building by using Tri-Rockets. It is the building where Floyd was/is. Use the Flares, and you should see a ledge. Keep jumping from ledge to ledge until you find a large platform with two Tribals and a Sniper Rifle Capacity Upgrade.
SS Anubis: In the Passageway stage play the level until you come to the part with the electric current. In that area look on the walls until you find a purple design. Note: The purple design is NOT on the platform with the electric current. It is in the wall over the bottomless drop. The purple design is actually a door. Enter to find two Tribals, ad you can bypass the electric current.
One Extreme Glitch
First, beat the Rim stage of Goldwood with Lupus. You then will be transported to Gem Quarry. In Gem Quarry enter the door beyond where the Tribals are located. In the next room you will see a large piece of machinery. When you get close to it it will fly away. Get onto the small hill to the right of the entrance. When the front of the machine is pointing to you, use the super jump, and hover to it. If you do it right you should be on the machine. Then hover to where the Tribal is located. If you have enough height you should be able to walk on top of the mine. You will eventually fall through the ceiling down to the area with the Tribal. You can not kill or rescue this Tribal. Then try to leave. You should be stopped by an invisible wall. You exit you must jump out. Note: You can not do this if you have gotten the starship part from Midge.
Play Chasm level with Juno
Usualy when you play Mizar's Palace, Juno can only acess the lobby passageway and only Lupus can acess the chasm, but here's a way to get to the chasm with Juno (by the way, you might be able to get him into the flume and Vela and Lupus into other's entries than their own? I haven't tried.) First play Mizar's Palace as usual through the lobby. When you get to the courtyard, go to the Floyd pad but don't use it. You should see a passageway leading to the back of the room. At the end of the passageway there will be a door. It's supposed to say "Juno can't open this door" but it opens. When you go through the door it says your in the chasm level, you'll only be able to rescue three tribals because Lupus's hover boots are required to get the rest of them.
Specialist Magazine
To get the Specialist Magazine, Go to Eschebone with Vela, next go to the room with a small pool of water, and dive in. you'll find a small cave with underwater tunnels. Follow the tunnels, until you reach a treasure chest inside is the Magazine. (Thorax) Later you can take it to the extremely bored Fernando, who is hangin with his dog Floppy, and he'll give you the Mine Key.
Extra Hang Time
As the upgraded version of Lupus, fly to Goldwood. After you land, drive to the door in front of you. Do NOT go through the door. Instead, jump up and perform the hover move. While you hover, fly into the upper narrow part of the door, so the tank treads are braced. If you are correctly braced, you will be stuck in a hover mode without the hover jets!
Got Your Little Black Box?
Well, you'll need it if you have problems crossing the Goldwood gap! After exterminating the Drones in the area using Lupus, go to the huge gap. The best way to cross this gap is to go the far right of the gap and stand on the edge. Using the power jump, start hovering at the peak of your jump. Then without wasting any valuable time, fly along the right side of the gap and stay in a straight line with far right opposite side. Staying in a straight line allows a better chance of crossing the gap. Good luck!
How To Get The Last Floyd Piece
It's easy to get the two Floyd pieces (not counting the head piece) but the last one was tough to find. First you go to the house where Floyd is on the post. Go down the stairs. Circle around "Floyd's" house, near the back there is a door. Step back and fire the tri-rocket launcer at it. Enter the house. You need the crowbar to get the piece. In the room there is a trapdoor and a chest with flares. Go into the trapdoor keep walking, and there is a Tribal and the Floyd piece.
Get Shocker with Lupus in Spawnship
Getting the Shocker with Lupus is pretty simple. First, play the Spawnship level with Lupus up to the lava room. Then fly toward the big cylindrical object in the middle. You should see a dark opening. Enter to get the Shocker. Then exit, and fly back to the platform. You will fall into the lava at least once per flight. Don't forget to collect the Gemini upgrade to boost your health. Note: This works best when you start out as Lupus. The extra firepower is quite handy for frying the Deflector Drones in the next level.
Invisibility Glitch
This will only work if you have the SpaceStation level in i player mode. You must also be playing as Lupus. From the start, fall down to the floor below. Go to the right into the archway passage into the other room. Jump on top of the box and jump to the floor above. Now look for the openening leading outside. Jump out the opening and activate the Hover Boots. Keep going forward and you will disapear!!! The only thing you'll be able to see is the smoke coming out from your boots.
Powered People
When you beat easy MIzar King Jeff will give you armor power-ups. These power-ups should include:
Juno: Gets a jet-pack.
Vela: Also gets a jet-pack.
Lupus: Becomes an all-terrain vehicle.
NOTE: Juno and Vela can only use their jet-packs when they go on a fueling pad and fuel up. Lupus also in the all-terrian verichle CANNOT go in targeting mode if he is in any water even shallow water.
Easy Way to Beat Final Mizar
If you are having trouble with the final Mizar battle here is a pretty easy way to beat him.
First of all you must set these four weapons as your favorite weapons (in the weapon viewing mode press one of the control pad directions): the machine gun, the homing missile launcher, the tri-rocket launcher, and the jet force pistol. When the battle begins Mizar will throw rocks at you. Blast the white rocks with your machine gun and dodge the green and red rocks. When Mizar flies toward you switch to your homing missile launcher. When he hits the ground with his claw jump over the fire, then get a lock on the small computer chip on his back. Wait until he comes back and hits the floor again, then turns around. Fire a couple of missiles at the back panel and at least one should hit. After hitting the ground and turning around a couple of times MIzar will randomly do a variety of attacks. When he shoots lasers out of his eyes simply side step out of the way. When he blows his breath at you avoid it by jumping and side stepping out of the way. When he shoots an electric bolt at you it may move fast or slow. When it moves fast stay in the center of the floor and jump when it comes near you. When it moves slow sidestep towards the bolt and jump when it's near. Be careful not to try to jump over it when its on the far side. After dodging these attacks he will pund the ground and turn around again, and the cycle will continue. There are three computer chips on his back you must destroy, and every time you destroy one of the panels he will throw rocks at you. After the third panel is destroyed you will have to fight MIzar on the ground. Switch to your tri-rocket launcher and take out each of his arms by blasting them repeatedly. When his arms are destroyed blast his head to finally defeat him.
Well, there you have it, even though it took a lot of explaining. If this doesn't work, try again over and over. Good luck!
Shoot behind you with Floyd
To do this is very easy; First go to a battle area where Droids surround you. Next go forward and make a quik U-Turn and while you are shooting the guys in front of you Floyd is still looking behind youwith the whole screen. Now start shooting the droids behind you with floyd and he basically covers your back.
Get Unlimited Tokens
In any room where there are Mizar tokens, but no enemies (starting location in the Spawnship) (rib cage in Eschebone) collect the tokens, then leave and come back. The coins will have regenerated! Use this trick for unlimited Mizar tokens to purchase things from Diamond Geezer.

Change Characters on Map Screen
Not really a gameplay tip but this feature isn't mentioned in the manual, so we figured we should include it. There is no need to go to the Character Screen if you need to quickly change characters when selecting a new world to fly to. You can change your character on the map screen, too. Simply use the C Buttons to switch the player icons in the corner until you've got the character you want
Special Item Locations
Jet Force Gemini contains a number of special items in addition to the regular power-ups such as gems, backpacks and Gemini Holders. This listing tells you what the items can be used for and where to find them.
Fish Food
Where: Goldwood, first area after landing pad (treasure chest)
One of the first secrets in the game can be accessed right from the Goldwood entry area, even before you enter the Outset zone. Look for a secret passage near the right rock wall. Behind it, you will find the fishpond and a treasure box that contains fish food. Although it's listed among your weapons, the fish food is hardly lethal. You can use the fish food to feed the fishes (duh) or other hungry creatures, such as the creepy maggots or Flopsy the dog (which keeps them from attacking you). The food can also be used to distract your enemy or to detonate proximity mines without wasting any ammo.
Ear Plugs
Where: SS Anubis, Hold (Floyd Mission)
The ear plugs are the perfect protection for sensitive ears, especially when around noisy Tribals but the Jet Force team can't use them. To get the ear plugs, get a Gold or Expert rating in the Floyd mission in the Hold area of the SS Anubis. Once you have access to the Water Ruin stage, bring the Ear Plugs to Ivana the Bear.
Pants
Where: Tawfret, Bridge (on top of a tree)
What a charming place to forget one's shorts... In this desolate swamp haunted by zombie drones and giant bettles, a pair of shorts hangs from a tree. Bring them to their rightful owner, Gimlet, who awaits in the same stage.
Crowbar
Where: Tawfret, Bridge (from Gimlet)
This handy tool lets you open the heavy trap doors on Tawfret and Walkway. To get it, bring the pants back to Gimlet.
Jeff & Barry II Arcade Chip
Where: Ichor, Military Base (Floyd Mission)
Only if you have found this circuit board can you play the Jeff & Barry II racing game in the nightclub arcade on Ichor (Jeff & Barry I can be played without it). Get a Gold rating in the Ichor Military Base |
