Getting Cars Out of Your WayNEW

To get the cars out of your way just get close to them and bump them, they will put on the breaks and move to the side of the road. This is also useful when you have a car going faster than you and is about to pass you. Before they have the chance to get away just bump um' and they will slam on the breaks. They usually beep at you twice.

Battle Mode Health Code

In Mount Mahyem, drive untill you first reach the snow. Jump off the first ramp then follow the path straight. When you get to the jump to go down to the normal route, turn left off it and try to land on the big snow area. Turn around and drive up, look for a box and hit it.

Get a Jump Start

To get a jump start, wait until the race is about to start. When it says "GO" imediately press L (the one at the top of the controller) to transport you to the same spot and you'll already be going 40-50 M.P.H.! This can be very helpful when trying to get ahead right away. Pressing L when racing is very useful too. Use it when you fall off a ledge before you blow up to save a lot of time or, when grabbing something way out of the way.

Sunset Sands - When racing through the inside of the temple that has exits on both the left and right sides, stay straight - grab a nitro box and jump the pit of lava. You'll land atop a structure with a large red octagon. BRAKE! and stop your beetle over it. Honk your horn and a secret elevator will bring you down to a cool shortcut that will get you ahead of the crowd in no time.

Mount Mayhem - Make your way to Mount Mayham. When you start stay to the right and follow the road until you get to the first snowy part without a fence. Right next to the road there will be a jump. Jump it. Go through the garage door lookin thing . You can follow the road to the end and fly off the cliff and get some serious air or you can go to the end and then turn right a go down a pathway. Then you will go down ski jump and land in a half pipe, which is a shortcut that takes you to the big oval turn.

Do 360s and More Off Jumps

Ever wonder how they do 360s at the demo screen at the beginning of the game. This trick can be done easier if you have the hand brake power cheat. If you have it turn the power to insane. Now pick any level you feel has good jumps.(Mount Mayham has the best jumps) Right as you are at the edge of the jump press and hold left on the joystick and press the hand brake. Don't let go of the gas and hold all these buttons until you land. Now you can do 360s and more! My record is a 1080 off the big jump in Mount Mayhem.

Flower Box Locations

Coventry Cove
1)The hay pile on the left side near the barn.
2)Between the stone hedges after the jump.
3)After the bridge, look to your left and you should see an opening, go inside.

Mount Mayhem
1)When you get into the town, turn left on the ramp to land on a mountain side, the box will be in the center.
2)After the crystal cave, drive to the left or right of the next opening to make a big jump. Then turn right. After the steel bridge, make a sharp turn left.
3)After the big jump, go right. When you get back outside, go right again and you should see a flower box behind a tree.

Inferno Isle
1)When you get to the swamp village, go on the ramp then hold down the brakes and reverse into a hut.
2)On the right side of a roof in the town, you need to go off the ramp to get there. Brake into the boxes to find it.
3)Near the finish line, ram into the hut on the left.

Two Groovy Box's on Inferno Isle

To find 2 groovy boxes go to inferno isle. To get the first one, follow the track until you get to the first jungle area, soon after that you will see a dirt road jutting off the road on the right. Go down the road and a bit after that when there is a yellow glow look to your right there will bee a small rainforest hut and a ramp leading to it with a way to get 10 bonus points. Go to the ramp and just before you hit the ramb hold down b and as soon as you hit the house wich will shatter hold down down c to. Hopefuly you will stop on the greyish platform. Turn around to your right and you should see a red flower box. Hit it, you should then hear the word groovy, then press L to saffely get to the main road. This may slow you up a bit but you should be able to catch up if you're good at taking short cuts.

To get the second one enter the town either from the dirt road or the main track. after making the first wide turn aim right while jumping off the ramp right under the arch. You'll see a flat roof land on it and turn around to your right and hit the groovy box you'll hear the word groovy then press L to quickly make it to the main road again.

In Coventry Cove, go to the town right after the big bridge that go past the waterfall. Right after the shortcut when you turn left and go over the boat in the water, there is an alley on the right with a phone booth on the corner. If you hit it dead on it will dent and you will hear "I'm sorry, your call won't go through". Its pretty funny!

Cheats

VIEW MODE - To activate the "VIEW MODE" cheat on the cheat menu, go to Inferno Isle. in the area that looks like a village, on the right side of the road is a house with a flat-looking roof. jump your beetle at an angle and land on the roof. then go into reverse and break the Daisy Crate hidden there to activate the View Mode cheat under options. you will be able to select Normal, Fisheye and Tunnel view modes.

TIME LIMIT - First select Championship and select any circuit. Make your way to Inferno Isle. At the end of the race, when you are at the village during the lava flow, look for a house near the finish line. Crash through the house to hit the Flower Box. You will hear the announcer say groovy. Finish the race, and now you have you can set a time limit of 1-6 minutes for the Beetle Battle.

COLOR CHANGE - Start a championship on any circuit. Make your way to Mount. Mayhem. As soon as you reach the grassy area at the end (staying on the path) of the tunnel, turn right. Look near the tree, and you will see the Flower Box. This lets your car, and the computer's, to change colors during the race.

? MODE - Start a championship, and select any circuit. When racing in Coventry Cove, take the jump to Stone Henge, right after the tunnel after the barn. Stop in the middle of Stone Henge. Now drive along the coast, looking behind the stones. You should spot the Flower Box. Now finish the race. Now you can control what comes out of the ? Boxes in Beetle Battle.

TRACK MUSIC - Select championship, and choose any circuit. When racing on Mount. Mayhem, look for the opening to the REALLY deep cave. Instead of going in through the bottom entrance, steer to the left, and jump through the top. You should land on an upper floor. (I can only reach this with the ALien Beetle). When the tunnel forks off, turn the right (the one that goes up). After crossing the bridge, make a sharp left, and the flower box is stuck in the snow near the bridge. Now you edit the music played when racing to Normal or Random.

LADYBUG COLOR CHANGE - Select championship, and choose any circuit. When racing on Inferno Isle, turn to the right before entering the T-Rex compound. Follow the muddy path and then turn left on to the dock. Use the ramp on the dock to land on the house/island in the middle. Look through the rubble, and you will find the Flower Box. Finish the race. Now you can control how fast the Ladybugs change during a Beetle Battle. You can select between: Normal, Slow, Fast, and Insane (which is very annoying).

HANDICAP - TWO PLAYER - Select championship, and select any circuit. When racing on Coventry Cove, make your way the the big junction where the draw bridge, crane, warehouse, and train tracks are. After crossing the river, turn around and look for the gray fence. Drive along the fence, and you will come a cross a whole in it. Enter the hole, and inside the fenced area, you will find a Flower Box. Now you can control the handicap for 2P races. You can choose between: Off, Normal, Slow, Fast, and Insane.

HANDBRAKE POWER - Select championship, and select any circuit except for novice. When racing on Sunset Sands, turn left at the first big pillar in the dunes. You should now be in a road which jumps onto a sand mound which jumps into the top of the big temple. Do not go into the temple yet. Before you actually go inside, explore the "patio" of the temple. You should find a Flower Box in a far corner. Now you can control how powerful the hand brake is. You can select from: Normal, High, and Insane.

NO MAP IN MULTIPLAYER - On the Conventry Cove stage, the area where you there are arrows pointing right. Hang a quick left and you will jump and grab a box worth five points. Your car will then land on an island with stone fixtures. Up ahead you can see a ramp with a box worth two points. Behind the fixture on the left,(if you're going too fast you will miss it)you will find a flower box. Crash through the flower box and make your way to the end of the stage to unlock the code to turn off the map in battle mode.

Unlocking Beetles

You can have a total of eleven cars in the game. You start out with three cars and move up as you beat certain circuits. To unlock the striped, lighting, and dark purple eight car by completing Novice. To unlock the flower, dark lightning, and light eight car complete the Advanced Championship. To unlock the Alien VW complete that Professional Circuit, To obtain the police VW beat the bonus circuit. With the police car you can make your opponents pull over by sounding the siren.
