The perfect Sunset:
I look at the sun setting, and I am left completely mesmerized and bemused.
The entire sky is a deep crimson and the clouds soft and fluffy, as if the
sky had been painted on a canvas.
The luminous sight of the sky sends a chill running through my body.
As the sun kisses the lake, its as if it is sinking deep below into the
dark unknown.
It throbs and glows a deep orange and reflects little rays that bounce along
the rippling waters of the lake.
Its warmth and brightness are slowly descending; its gentle throbbing dying
down.
Its radiant glow shines in my eyes. But when I go to cover them from the
light, its as if it vanished into nothingness.
Yet I know that it was still there, as I see the night slowly creep onto me,
the stars start to twinkle.
I know that I will see it again soon, but I know I will never see a more
breath-taking display like the one I had seen.
Somehow to me, nothing could ever compare that wonderful feeling.
All that is left now is the twinkling stars, the bright moon and a look of
pleasure upon my face.
It will always stay in my mind as the perfect sunset.
Thanx,

Run Away
This poem is whole heartedly dedicated to any child who sees abuse.
She went to school
most everyday.
The kids teased her
in every way.
She ran home crying
and rushed by your side.
All her troubles in you
she wished to confide.
But you, being bitter
pushed her away,
not wanting to hear what
she had to say.
She ran to her room,
tears streaming down her face.
She fell on her bed
wanting to leave this place.
She filled a bag with clothes
and flung it on her back.
Once she was out of there,
she never once looked back.
