Heat began with a retrospective look at Kane and X-Pac’s relationship.

Backstage, Kane with Torrie as his mouth piece, gave an interview basically making the notion X-Pac will pay for his back-stabbing ways towards The Big Red Machine.

Chris Jericho entered the arena gloating about how everyone is looking the new Intercontinental Champion.

The Big Show and Bossman saga was replayed, with highlights from past Raw programs.

Lilian Garcia was backstage speaking with Jericho. Jericho boasted about how he mutilated Chyna backstage this past week and that he is confident that he would become the new Intercontinental Champion. He also went on to say he would fly to Switzerland and get a sex change and call himself Christaina Jericho if he was not successful.

The Big Show is seen attacking his own tag partners, The Blue Meanie, Taka, and Funaki backstage. The Big Show mentioned earlier in the night that he wanted to go into his PPV match alone making the odds 4 against 1.

Triple H came to ringside to address several issues beginning with Arnold’s interference. Then The Game made reference to the Bret Hart incident, telling Vince he’s not as stupid as he was, so whatever he has planned better be good. The WWF Champion then called out the Rock. The Rock goes through the motions as usual, addressing the crowd, laying the smaketh down, etcETriple H then called out Steve Austin next. When all 3 of the men were in the ring DX rushed the ring for an ambush.
