| Sammy Lopez is a salsa instructor in Boston. He is trained in both New York and Cuban style salsa, as well as Latin Ballroom dances. He and his partner, Lisa, recently won 1st place in Cha Cha and Rumba in La Clasique Du Quebec, Latin Ballroom Competition. His dancing started at four years old in his home of Puerto Rico. Since then he hasn't stopped. Sammy has danced with Jam'Nastics, a youth group in Cambridge, that have performed and competeted at the Paladium of New York and First Night Events. He has also danced with various groups in the Boston Area such as Salsacion and he has started a Rueda de Casino group for students at Cambridge Rindge and Latin. Sammy now teaches classes at Wepa Wednesdays at the Hong Kong in Cambridge and is training for ballroom competitions and salsa shows. Sammy was recently on Pachanga Latina for an interview on his dancing career. Congratulations to the Celebrity!!! |
