| JAM'NASTICS is a non-profit organization based in the Cambridge/Boston area and has been around for over ten years. Anara Frank is the executive director of the program for urban youth as well as adult dancers. JAM'NASTICS incorporates both gymnastics and dancing into their performances. Their hip-hop group is well known and have performed at events all around Boston and in New York. JAM'NASTICS has given our youth an oppurtunity to live out their dreams. For one of the dancers that dream came true recently. Ramon Baynes who has been dancing with the team for several years will be leaving JAM'NASTICS to dance in New York with Alvin Ailey. He is amazing to watch perform and he gives 100% to every dance. This year JAM'NASTICS created a latin dance group for teenagers and adults under the direction of Sammy Lopez. Sammy will be leaving too to Rhode Island but he will still come and help out with choreography since he won't be that far away. Both Sammy and Ramon were honored at a benefit on August 19th for their contributions to JAM'NASTICS. Both perfomed in JAM'NASTICS and taught/choreographed the dances and their energy, dedication and love of dance will be missed but not forgotten. Sammy and Ramon were both honored with scholarships in their name for future youth/young adults who want to dance and who exemplify their dedication and love of dance. The scholarships will be awarded to youth who may not have the financial resources to dance but have the soul and the heart to become excellent dancers. We wish them both luck in all that they do. We will miss you.  MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE Members of the Latin Dance division of JAM'NASTICS were asked to be in a PBS movie, "The Blue Diner". Experienced dancers were needed for a club scene in the movie. You will see JAM'NASTIC'S members dancing in the "Blue Diner" on PBS probably within the next year.  CLASSES IN 2000JAM'NASTICS Inc. offers after school programs for young children as well as performance teams for teenagers who dance hip hop, reggae, house, and many other dance styles. There is also adult performance teams in hip hop, latin and La Rueda de Casino. Not to mention, there are other classes such as breakin with the help of Boston's famous FLOORLORDS.
