My wife makes six. That leaves me just a little outnumbered. |
"Mom I want a horse." Elizabeth says.
"Ask Your father." Mother replies.
"Dad Mom said I can have a horse." Elizabeth says. Never mind the ("Ask Your Father")part of the conversation.
So now we have a horse. Gee. Something else for me to take care of.
Here I am, trying to raise five daughters and now a horse!
It's a wonder I survived.
Shortly after the horse came a rabit. Which grew into a herd of 75 does. We were in the rabit business. It took five years to get out of that one.
Next came the chickens. My idea. Followed by some Miscovy ducks. My idea again. Two pigs. My idea again.
The pork was very good. Roast duck is terribly greasy. Farm fresh eggs are wonderful. When you get them. Seems around our place a O'possum, Racoon, Chicken Snake or Skunk was waiting for them to be laid.
Women, horses, chickens, I can't win.
"Mom, can I have a cat?"
