ANTIBIOTICS
Cephalosporins such as cephalexin (keflex) may interact with alcohol. Reactions include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, skin rash, rapid heart beat and breathing difficulties.
Penicillin and ampicillin may interact with grapefruit juice which can reduce the absorption of the antibotic.
Tetracyclines or fluoroquinolones such as ciprofloxacin (cipro) may interact with minerals such as calcium, magnesium, aluminum, zinc or daily products and tetracyclines interact with herb St. John's wort. Extreme photosensitivity can occur, increasing your risk for sunburn and sun damage.

It also interacts with the asthma drug theophylline in that it may increase levels of the asthma drug, causing nausea, tremors, irregular heart rhythm and seizures.
ANTIDEPRESSANTS
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors such as paroxetine (Paxil) and fluoxetine (prozac) may interact with another class of depressants known as MAO inhibitors such as phenelzine (Nardil) or the herb St. John's wort in that excess serotonin is produced, which may cause severe agitation, nausea, confusion and possible heart attack. The MAO
inhibitor drugs may interact with OTC decongestants and cough medications containing pseudoephedrine. This may cause increased blood pressure, resulting in serious side effects, including stroke or death. MAO inhibitors alson interact with aged cheeses, pickled fish, salami, fava beans, wine, or other foods and beverages containing tyramine. May increase blood pressure , possibly leading to stroke.
