I can understand some owners charging a reasonable fee to off-set their cost........I would also like to dedicate this page to all the old timer rockhounds who have been such an inspiration and wealth of knowledge...

You sell junk, cheat, and make up lies about people to the point of ruining lives, all for the love of money. You make every attempt at ruining the good name of law abiding miners and sellers who care about the ethical standards of rockhounding . With no regard to the damage you cause you soil their reputations with your lies. I have met several of these types in my work, You people--- change your ways or get out of rockhounding. In the meantime stay out of here as you are not welcome at Rhodescabbin!!!
Matter of fact I want to instill this point. I do not do business with rude or crude people or cheaters. Even on Ebay one can spot a cheater, say he uses (keyword spamming) or tries to discrdit and cheat the hard working sellers by plagerizing (stealing) their ideas. Which is an actual Criminal Theft!!! I don't care how green your money is. People come first, their feelings come first. Theres plenty of rockshops that don't give a hoot who you are as long as you got the cash. So please, if your rude, snooty, Gossip Monger FRAUD, etc... c-ya later....

My name is Dale Rhode, I have a large family with 5 kids, 4 sons, and one daughter . My sons
and I are avid Rockhounders and Lapidarists, my Daughter is quickly learning, and loves to look
for pretty rocks :) We buy, sell, trade, exchange inf. etc....We are not out to make money but to
have fun and enjoy the educational, exciting world of rockhounding.
I started out very young in rockhounding, trailing behind my Dad as we would hunt for all the beautiful rocks Oregon has to offer. There is an awe that comes over me when I cut an ugly old rock and see all the hidden beauty God has made, I believe the Good Lord has a lesson in that.

If you're new to rockhounding then you have chosen a terrific hobby. Visit some of the rock shows
in your area and you will see that most hounders are good, honest folks, that are more than glad to take a few minutes to teach you something about rocks etc...One more thing, just about every place you
go you're gonna find rocks suitable to be worked, tumbled etc...If it's on private land be sure to get
permission first.If you have a site where the landowner or mine owner lets you pick up rocks, be sure to offer a share to the owner and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make a mess, be sure to cover any holes, pick up any trash, not just yours...and also respect the wishes of those mine and land owners that do not wish to have you on their land...Treat them right and in turn your good deeds will be rewarded.

Our primary interests are in Oregon's beautiful Picture Jaspers and Plume Agates and many other
stones from throughout the world. We buy, sell& trade slabbing rough, rough for Spheres,
cabochons, book ends etc...We do some dealing in Australian Opals, and
Idaho's beautiful Spencer Opal.
