Beterre's First Poll
What kind of music would you like to hear Beterre play? (please choose 2)

Soft Rock (Mae, Coldplay)
Emo (Number One Gun, Hopesfall)
Post Hardcore (Thrice, It Dies Today)
Emo/Screamo (Underoath, Hawthorne Heights)
Classic Rock (Led Zeppelin, The Who)
Metal (Metallica, that stuff)
Punk Rock (Rufio, Slick Shoes)

August 4, 2005 Well, we had a great time at my house rocking out and being scorned by the classic rock kids (Graham and Mark) who, incidentally, are responsible for the 25 votes for us to play classic rock. Does anyone see a connection? Anyway, we played 'Repercussions of an Absolute' and people clapped during the clapping part (always a plus), 'Iscariot Kiss' which everyone loved....as well as assorted unfinished, unnamed songs. Then we made a cool video. As always. Go to our myspace because it has cool stuff like tour dates, songs, music videos and 1 million friends. Oh wait, never mind. But we do have artwork up, we will be taking pics soon (how long have we been saying that for?) and once again we will be trying to record songs. We may be getting some help from Garrett, his sister and his electric drumset (thats right, I said electric).
Check out the show section at myspace.com/beterre. We may be playing a few 'shows' in one of our garages. Maybe even with some other bands. Leave us a comment, kudo or other form of acknowledgement. Sebastian's right. I do have way too much time on my hands. Keep rocking, Irvine.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex

August 1, 2005 Whoever voted for Classic Rock like 25 times on the poll should be shot. Or at least slapped on the wrist with a meter stick. And they didn't even sign the guestbook. Let that be a lesson: 1) don't listen to classic rock, 2) vote once a day or so, and 3) sign the guestbook.
Check out our artwork on myspace,

July 29, 2005 Befriend us at myspace.com/beterre. We're hoping to get some photos and artwork up and hopefully begin recording a few songs soon. I'm still trying to figure it out. Leave us a comment.
See you there,

July 26, 2005 Hello again. Is everyone thoroughly ready for this wave of intense heat (also known as a heat wave) to pass us by? So are we. You try playing guitar or screaming and staying conscious while packed inside a 90 degree garage. Speaking of practicing, we had an intense practice at my house yesterday. It was shorter than usual but we had some fun. We worked on the new 'magical song' and it sounds really cool. We named it Reprocussions of an Absolute because it's about the effects of having sex before marriage. Oh, and there's a clapping part for you guys. We are going to try to write another song with a sing-a-long part also. It should be swell.
In other news, I am currently wearing 100% silk boxers with big red hearts that feel oh so good. I also made some dank artwork that really looks cool but we can't post it on here b/c this is a poor man's site. We may be starting a Myspace soon (i loathe myspace) so that we can post pictures, art and music.I don't have much going on. But I would if you would sign the guestbook. And the forms. And give us a call if you want us (or even if you don't) to play at your birthday party, lagoon party, bunko party or whatever because we (I) really want to play a show. So come see us, even if it's at my house or Ryans house because you will love us even more than you already do. Ashley is a babe.
Ending Transmition,
PeterxBeterrex

July 16, 2005 Hey. How is everyone's summer going? We had a sick band practice today and worked on Adore to Nothing. We also started this other one, yet to be named, that flows right from Adore to Nothing. The intro is just magical, I can't think of any other word to describe it. You can almost see the music swirling around you. Then its just Sebastian on guitar and Ryan comes in on drums and I sing and scream. We started making some words for it, thanks to Numb from the Spoken Forums, and it's sounding great. Oh, and Ryan made us quesodillas. They were good and cheesy and i've still got grease all over my pants. Seriously, you need to come to our next practice. They're so much fun and we need to get people listening to our music. Give me a call. Fill out the forms. And sign the guestbook. Sign like you've never signed before.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex

July 6, 2005 Happy Independence Day everyone. In case you haven't seen the movie of the same name, you must. But anyway, we had a great practice on Friday. We aquired like 7 more nonsexual groupies and they absolutely hated our stuff. Sebastian's mom filmed us playing the hardcore song and a new one, Adore to Nothing, which is pretty good except Sebastian wouldn't sing in front of everyone. We're hoping to improve our current line up tomorrow, take some more photos and load them on. In case you haven't noticed we got a new entry in the guest book. That's right folks, that makes it 3 in all. *sighs pitifully* Why don't you make it 4. Now.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex

June 24, 2005 Happy summer to everyone. We had another great practice and wrote a great hardcore song. Hopefully we'll be creating lyrics later this week. Oh yeah...and all our band photos were deleted so we couldn't load them on. Its a major bummer b/c they were really good too. But, stuff happens. Stay tuned. We'll see you at Wild Rivers.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex

June 21, 2005 Its been quiet around here, probably because we all have our noses buried in textbooks trying to teach ourselves what we were supposed to learn this year. We're hoping to get a practice in this weekend and actually lay down some songs. We (or at least I) are hoping to maybe score a place in a battle of the bands this summer. Speaking of battle of the bands, Sebastian and I went to the one in Turtle Rock on Saturday. There were some Ok bands, One Last Thought (Heath and Addam were amazing as usual)and CureHardy (they were pretty good). Hopefully we'll be able to share the stage with 1LT and everyone can wave their fingers at Bass's guitar when he rips out a solo. Anyway, im signing off.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex

June 13, 2005 Hey its gonna be sort of slow for the next 2 weeks with finals and projects. I want to give a major shout out to our fan numero uno, Brittany. She's our groupie (in the most non sexually pure way). Hope to add some new stuff if we get the time.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex

June 12, 2005 Hey, we're Beterre. We live in Orange County, California (the OC) and play post-hardcore, emo and just plain rock and roll. Right now we have Ryan who kills on the drums (this guy's only been playing like three months and he still sounds like a pro), Sebastian on guitar and vocals (who likes to think he's really pro and is good with the ladies) and myself, Peter, on backup guitar and vocals (who likes to think he's funny and good at screaming). Lately we've been practicing in Ryan's garage and have been doing real well considering we just started out like three weeks ago. We've been playing stuff from Hawthorne Heights, Relient K, the White Stripes and Underoath. We've also been creating some of our own stuff and its really coming along well. We hope to put together a few songs and maybe play a show over the summer (even though it'll probably end up being at an old folks home or someone's uncle's back yard). So send us an email (or snail mail for those of you who aren't really 'with it') and invite us to play at your best friend's birthday party. Keep checking the site for updates. And sign our guestbook and form because we'd love to hear from you. I'm trying to get a messageboard up too.
Peace out,
PeterxBeterrex
