Chris Perry won today's(Wednesday April 5th) Par 3 contest with a playoff win over Jay Haas, Jerry Pate, and Hunter Haas. No golfer has gone on to win a green Jacket after they've won the Par 3 Tournament in the same year.

Augusta's rough is having it's way with the players already this week. No, it's not longer(still cut at 1 5/8") there's more rough than ever now, and IT'S GROWING SIDEWAYS!! There's much more grain to it than usual, and this will benefit some of the straighter drivers on tour. Hope your foursome is filled with the straightest of drivers off the tee!

Darren Clarke

Clarke's youngest son has come down with the chicken pox. Darren is unsure as to whether or not he has had chicken pox, and if he hasn't he's very likely to contract it. Incubation period for chicken pox is two weeks, and I'm not sure as to when his son was diagnosed. If you have him in your foursome, be weary that this could flare up during the tournament this week, and possibly contract others around him who have never come into contact with it.

Lee Westwood

Lee Westwood has fallen ill from food poisoning, and his status for the rest of the week has not been decided on. Be cautious if you have Lee is in your foursome. Reports say that this shouldn't affect his play, but you should still be concerned.

Fred Couples has consulted his specialist with concerns about his back recently, so be weary of Fred's possible back problems if he is in your foursome.
