The 2001 "50th Anniversary Year" Miss Universe Pageant will be held in Bayamon, Puerto Rico at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum. This is the second time Puerto Rico will play host to Miss Universe, the first was in 1972 when Kerry Anne Wells of Australia won. Lara Dutta of India will crown Miss Universe 2001 at the end of the 2 hour event. The Miss Universe Organization would like to reunite all the former Miss Universe's from 1952 to 2000 (if still living). I will be going to the pageant, the only thing that will stop me is money.
