| SUMMARY: PATON IS BRIAN'S BEST FRIEND FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL. BRIAN INVITES HER TO COME AND SPEND THE SUMMER WITH HIM IN FLORIDA. BRIAN SHARES A HOUSE WITH HIS OTHER BEST FRIEND AND BAND MATE NICK. AT FIRST PATON AND NICK DON'T GET ALONG THAT WELL, BUT THEY START BECOMING FRIENDS. PATON DOESN'T REALIZE THAT SHE IS THE OBJECT OF MORE THEN ONE GUY'S AFFECTION. She walked over and got her bags. She thoaght to her self *'brian said to meet him at the entrence of 506. backwards blue hat and shades.'* She started to walk to the gate when she saw him. She walked faster and finally reached him. "MR.l?" Brian turned around to see who it was. "Paters?" paton droped her bags and huged her best friend. Brian whispered "goosh i've missed you." "I've missed you more." They broke free from their long tender hug. "You ready, Paters?" "Yeah." Brian picked her bags up and lead her outside to his jeep. He opened the hatch back up and put her bags in. "Nick, get in the back." Nick roled his eyes and did what Brian said. They got in the jeep. "Paters, this is Nick. Nick, this is Paters." Paton and Nick exchanged hello's. Paton, this is your summer. any thing you wanna do, will do." "Bri, you don't have to do this. I'm just happy to see you in real life." "You sure?" "Well, i'd love to listen to the radio." "Keepin things simple." Paton channel surfed until she found 'For got about Dre'. "Have you guys ever met Eminem?" "No why?" "Because he's hot." They pulled into a drive way. "Here we are." "Damn, Bri this is so beautiful." They got out of the jeep and Brian brought Paton's things in. "Bri, i can't believe a house you live in is this clean." "I've grown up." "I can tell." Paston said as she saw the pool. "WHOA!!" "You wanna go swimmin?" "Maybe in a little bit, but i gotta go unpack. You wanna help?" "Sure." Brian picked up Paton's bags and showed her to her room. Paton opened a bag and took out cloths. Brian helped put them away. She opened another another bag of the cloths. They put them away. Paton opened another bag. "Please tell me this are more cloths." "No.there pictures." She took out a frame wraped in news paper and un did the wraping. It was a picture of her hugging Brian by the lake. "Man i rember that." Brian said with a sigh. "That was the night you told me you were joining the group." "Yeah." Paton pulled out a picture of her and Brian on Christmas. "That was the Christmas you got your car." "Yep. You wouldn't let me drive it until you test drived it first." She pulled out a picture of Joshua Jackson then one of EMINEM. "Girl you are boy crazy." "Yeh, so?" Paton said as she pulled a picture of her, Brian and kevin out, then the last picture of Brian kissing her on the cheek. "Why don't you have pictures of your other friends?" "Because i really don't have any other friends." "Well you should, because you are a blast to hang out with." They went in the living room. "What do you want for supper?" "Anything. Why don't you ask Nick?" "CARTER!!!" Brian yelled. "What?" "What do you wanna eat?" "Chinnese." "Is that ok with you Paters?" "Yeah, thats sounds good." Brian wwent in the kitchen and ordered the food. "Where's Paton?" "She went to change." Paton came in the room and sat on the coach beside Brian. Brian gave her the remote. "Thank you. What channel does WB come on?" "19." "Whatz commin on?" "Dawson's Creek." "Omigoosh. I can't belive you watch this BS. Nobodies life is like that." "How do you know Nick? Somebody could be that lucky, I mean your a BSB." The door bell rang. "I'll get that." Brian said as he went to the door. Nick stared at her. "What?" "You are so pathetic." "You are." Brian walked back in the room. "Here guys." Brian gave them their food. Nick decided to let Paton watch Dawson's Creek in peace. Nick went to his room and left Paton and Brian alone. "Bri, you know its been 2 years since we've seen each other?" "I know, and you know what?" "What?" "You've gotten sexier." Paton was completly shocked. "Brian Thomas Littrell!" She tryed to push him off the coach but he brung her down with him. "Well I only told you the truth." "OH, what ever. let me go so I can to bed." "OK." "Brian, i'm really glad you wanted me to come." Paton said then kissed him on the cheek. "Good night, Paters." "Night." **************************************** ************************ The next morning, Paton woke up early so she could go running. She left Brian a note in the Kitchen that said WENT ON MY RUN. BE BACK LATTER. LOVE YA, PATERS She left the note on the counter and left. Right after she left Brian woke up and saw the note. He decided to cook breakfast as a surprise. He fixed eggs, biscuits, bacon and pancakes. Nick came in the kitchen "Man, Brian whats with this?" "I thoaght Paton would like it." Paton came home and they ate. Nick went back to his room and Paton went in the living room and layed down while Brian cleaned up the kitchen. Brian sat down by Paton's feet. "You tired Paters?" "Not really. My feet just hurt." Brian started to rub her feet. "you know what Bri?" "What?" "we have alot to catch up on." "Yeah we do, so howz your love life?" Paton gigled. "Is that the only thing you care about?" "Yeah." "Well, it sucks. i've only went out with 5 guys." "What'd you do to them?" "Well t 4 I left on the 1st date and the 1 I dated we went out for about 3 weeks. But when he saw all the pictures of me and you together and he thoaght we went out. He got intimadated because he thought he had to live up to the standerds of a bsb." "No way!" "Yes way. And anyways I tried to tell him we were just friends." "Yeah." Brian said sadly. Nick walked in the room and started laughing. "Whatz so funny?" Brian asked. "You 2. Ecspecially you Brok. Callin her sexy, rubbing her feet. I mean damn why dont you 2 go out?" "Why don't you go to hell Nick. We're just friends." Paton yelled. "Your such a bitch!" "Your a jack ass little basterd!" "STOP IT!!!!!!!!!" Brian screamed. "Your both my best friends, why can't you get along?" "Because Nick is a smart ass little jerk." "Your a little slut!" "Dammit! Stop! YYou 2 are gonna spend the day together, even if it kills you." "I'm not wasting my day with that little valley girl." "oh please Nick, your the blonde here" "Thats enough you 2 go get dressed. Your gonna go to the movies or somethin." Nick and Paton both roled their eyes and stormed out of the room. When Paton was ready Nick and Brian were sitting on the coach watching TV. Brian had the most shocked look on his face. "What???" Paton asked. "Your stomach!" Brian shricked. "You never told me you got a tattoo or your belly button pierced." "Brian, theres alot you don't know about me." "Paton you've changed." "No I haven't you did." Nick broke the silence "We better go." "Yeah." They walked to the door. "We'll be back in a little bit." Nick and Paton got in his Durango. There was a long silence. "Do you wanna listen to the radio?" "I don't care." "Paton we gotta make the best out of this." "Fine." "What kinda music do you like?" "Rap, rock, punk." Nick turned the radio on to a station that was playing Nirvana. Nick was surprised to see that Paton knew all the words to the song. "Brian never told me that you liked Nirvana." "Theres alot Brian doesn't know about me." "But I thoaght you 2 have been besst friends since you were in middle school." "We have but best friends do drift apart. 'I WANT IT THAT WAY' describes us perfect." "You mean you really feel like that?" "Yeah." "Well did you and Brian ever have a thing together?" "We never were like a true couple but we did the movie thing a things like that but you know just as friends." "Well did you ever kiss?" "Once. The night Bri told me he was leaving for Florida. He took me to the lake we sat by the fire. He asked me to come to Florida with him but I couldn't because of school." Tears rolled down Paton's face. "Are you ok?" "Yeah I'm fine." She said as you wipped the stream of tears away. "Well, we both started to cry then Brian kissed me and then left we didn't see each other for like 1 or 2 years." "Damn you 2've been through alot." "Yeah, lots." Nick decided to change the subject "Howz college?" "Its ok." "Whatz it like living in a dorm?" "I don't know." "So you live with your family?" "Hell no. i ive by myself." "What movie do you wanna see?" "I don't know. Do you have one of those theaters that play old movies?" "Yeah." "Lets go to that one." "OK." They pulled into the parking lot. They went in and got their tickets. Dueing the movie Paton put her head on Nick's shoulder. "WOW, that was a great movie." Nick said as they pulled out of the parking lot. "Yeah. I'm hungrey now. I've heard from alot of people that the backstreet boys like McDonalds, so is it true?" "Lets see." Nick said as he swuevived into the parking lot and drove to the to go line. They got their food and ate it as they drove home. |
