| The Story of Baybee Ayleeyin Baybee Ayleeyin's Summer Vacation Chapter 5 Packing for the Trip As soon as school was out, we began packing our bags for our summer vacation. Darla helped Baybee Ayleeyin gather all his things and place them neatly on the bed. I showed Baybee how to fold his clothes small to fit in his little suitcase. We were surprised at Baybee Ayleeyin's foresight. He brought his toothpaste and tooth brush over in a plastic bag and put his lotion and body-wash in too. Then he tucked extra socks and underwear in the side pockets. This was an added surprise. Baybee hates to wear socks. Next we I saw Baybee Ayleeyin carrying a large, brown, paper bag. He was reluctant to show us what was inside. Darla, the taller of us, was able to peek in the bag to see Iggy's head. "Sorry, Baybee, Iggy can't come." Darla said. "He needs to stay home in his tank. Bobby will come over every day to feed him and change his water." Noticing the sad look on Baybee's face, I said, "Do you understand, Baybee?" He replied, "Baybee understand." "Baybee go Hawaii," he said, "and swim in ocean". I don't think there is anything Baybee Ayleeyin enjoys more than swimming. "Yes," Darla said, "You will have lots of time to go swimming, Baybee." (Week 1) |
