The Story of Baybee Ayleeyin
Chapter 3
This Is Fun At The Beach
What a beautiful day for the beach. The sun felt so nice and warm on my body. I wasn't sure how Baybee Ayleeyin would take to the sun. We rubbed sunscreen on his tiny body. This was the good stuff, you know, 50 SPF.
We spread out the blanket, placed the cooler on one corner, and our beach bag on another. Then we placed a beach chair on each of the other two corners, and the beach umbrella in the middle. We were all set to have a great day of fun in the sun.
Darla brought a little pail and shovel for Baybee Ayleeyin to play with. She showed him how to shovel sand and fill the pail. He was imitating her just fine. Now that he was occupied, we were smearing sun screen on ourselves and did not notice that he built an elaborate sand castle. We're talking, moat, tower, draw bridge out of popsicle sticks and a tiny flag on the top, made out of a paper napkin.
He giggled, looked up at us and said, "House."
"Ohmygosh!" Darla blurted, "Look at what he make. He's talking, too." I said.

"Baybee house." He said, " Baybee make house." Not only did we have a talking baby alien in our midst, but a promising architect, too. At that, a big wave came and washed his sandcastle away. I thought he would cry. Who wouldn't? He started laughing. He laughed so hard he had us in tears.
"Baybee get house in water." He said as he ran to the ocean. This scared us, so we both ran after him. The thought of a baby in the water was overwhelming. We could not catch up to him. Before we could get close, he was in the water. He was under
We both jumped in. Just then he surfaced. He was laughing, "House gone, Baybee house gone. Bye, bye house." He went under and surfaced again, still laughing. He reminded me of that TV star porpoise, Flipper. He was right at home in the water, just like when he was in the bathtub at home.
