THE RED EYES
What's the current line up?

H: Lead guitar/Vocals

Ewan: The Drums
Your biography?
The Red Eyes formed in Glasgow in May 97 and take our influences from the
more melodic early punk/new wave bands such as The Undertones, The Jam, The
Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, The Ruts, The Buzzcocks and The Damned. Our
first recording was for an Angelic Upstarts tribute album, for which we did
the 1982 single 'Woman In Disguise', joining bands from around Europe and
Canada. Upon hearing our first original four-track demo, the editor of the
SLF fanzine 'Get A Life' gave us a great review, with the result that we
secured the touring support on the SLF 'St Patrix' tour 1998 culminating in
an unforgettable night at Glasgow Barrowlands.
Later in 1998 we recorded our first CD 'Up To Our Eyes In It' and this was
released in December of that year (see below for where to get it). Since
then we have gigged around to promote the album. These gigs have included
support slots with SLF (Barrowlands again), The Vibrators, UK Subs plus many
others, as well as headline gigs mainly in Scotland.
We have many new tunes written and hopefully should have these released at
some point in the near future (Finances permitting!) We are always keen to
gig, so if you fancy getting us to play your town let us know of a venue &
we'll try and get something sorted. Contact The Red Eyes at the details
below.
