| Contra ContraLay down and still hit targets in basses While you're in the 3-D base levels (like level 2), you can actually hit the higher targets on the wall while still laying down if you hold Up on Controller 2 at the same time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boss tips On Level 1 get the spread, kill the drone gun and run in shooting up-right to kill him fast. On the Level 2 boss stand on the edge of one of the birds wings and shoot up when the boss comes across the screen. On Level 3 boss shoot the arms and then stand in front of where 2 pipes go in the ground shoot up when the boss opens his mouth. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Base tips The best weapon in the bases is laser, it takes out the targets in about 2 shots. On base 2, start by killing the targets on the sides, then the guns, then the middle. This way you can concentrate on the enemy without fire from the side guns. On base 4 start in the middle and then go for the sides. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weapon list List of weapons with corresponding letters. (M) Machine gun: rapid fire, good when jumping. (R) Rifle: enhances gun strength. (S) Spread: 5 bullet spread: All round use. (F) Fire: Bullets curl into circles, good when ducking. (L) Laser: highly powerful beam, good for the bases. (B) Invincibility. (Glowing eagle) Smart bomb, kills all enemies in screen. Available in level five. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 30 lives At the Title screen, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start for 30 lives. Press Select before Start for two players. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game Genie codes POTATO Messes up sound and pictures -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TEIIXZ After you die you come back with a weird gun. NYAIUZ When you die you get an extra life. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LUGKIS Each stage takes 5 seconds of play. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gamegenie SLAIUZ Start with infinite lives GXIIUX Keep weapons after losing a life SLTIYG Become invincible-- enemies don't shoot at you PEIIXZ Start new life with machine gun ZEIIXZ Start new life with flame-thrower LEIIXZ Start new life with spread gun GEIIXZ Start new life with laser |
