Nostradamus and the Millineum : What May Be Coming
Richard Earl Hansen. Author of "Space-Shuttle Mayday!" "Little Horses of the Devil," and "El Manto." December 1999
As a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force (Retired), and former Special Agent in counter-intelligence, I've always been intrigued by Nostradamus' gift for predicting future events, some of which I experienced. Perry Kane's ability to place Nostradamus' predictions of the future beyond 2000 in chronological sequence, takes Nostradamus interpretation to another level entirely! I've read many books on Nostradamus over the years, but Kane's is a must for serious Nostradamus scholars.
Book Description
It is Summer 2002. Iran has troops overrunning the Middle-east; chemical weapons are exploding in Paris, and a nuclear bomb is detonated at New York's Kennedy Airport. All this was predicted by Sixteenth century French prophet Michel de Nostradamus. The book opens with a brief review of Nostradamus' successful past predictions: the arrival of the first two "antichrists," Napoleon and Hitler; the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy, and recent events including AIDS, the Gulf War, and the...
Nostradamus : The Final Reckoning
Reviewer: A reader from US
I and several friends read it 8 years ago. It is a chinese version (I am not sure whether it was a translation from the above selling version). In that time we really did not take it seriously. One thing we joked about was one prophecy: It said a strong empire will disintegrate in its 73 years. The book translates this prophecy as 'the empire is Soviet Union ant it will disintegrate in 1991 (1918+73). The book itself was actually published in late 80's and the explanation to this prophecy should be even earlier. In that time, there was really not any sign of the collapse of a strong Soviet Union. When we read the book, we joked that we would wait and see what would happen to Soviet Union in the coming year and then would decide whether the Prophecies were believable. We were really joking then, since no one really took this kind of book seriously. However, you all knew what happened to Soviet Union in 1991!!!!!! It was really amazing the book was right on this!!!! In the chinese version, it did predict a big disaster to human kinds in 2000 (or 1999). I am scared. I will buy one to see what is predicted in the English version.
Nostradamus : Unpublished Prophecies the Untold Story
There has been a resurgence of interest in Nostradamus in the wake of the tragic terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. Along with a widely circulated hoax prophecy that was quickly unmasked by astute students of the prophet, the authentic prophecy found in Century 6, Quatrain 97, seemed to uncannily predict the World Trade Center's destruction. The skeptic's response to all such apparent fulfillments of prophecy is to argue that since the actual wording of the quatrain is so vague, it can be interpreted any number of ways. However, it is even less logical to assume that Nostradamus was working totally blind and that future events correspond to what he predicted simply by chance. It has been said that if you put a monkey in front of a typewriter, he will eventually type out the words of Shakespeare. But again, it simply isn't possible for Nostradamus to be as accurate as he is working from within a total vacuum, is it? Which brings us to "Nostradamus' Unpublished Prophecies" by Arthur Crockett. Crockett opens with a crash course for the uninitiated on the life history of Nostradamus, beginning with his humble yet nearly supernatural birth in 16th Century France through his time as a medical doctor working with victims of the Black Plague. Beginners to the subject will enjoy reading about the early years when Nostradamus first became aware of his gift of prophecy and the fame he acheived in his own lifetime, including his eventual championing by the French royal court. Next Crockett gives an interesting overview of some of the prophecies already assumed to be fulfilled, such as quatrains that seem to predict the rise and fall of Adolph Hitler and the end of the Cold War. The accuracy with which Nostradamus predicted so many future events that are now in our past is the best testimony one can make for him being the real thing. From there, Crockett moves on to the heart of the book, the prophecies by Nostradamus that were omitted from the seer's official collection. "The legend goes," Crockett writes, "that shortly before his death, Nostradamus penned a series of prophecies so startling that he never had them included in his published works, too afraid was he of the effect they might have. These predictions were circulated only to royalty and were thought destroyed for many years until they were uncovered in the basement of the house where Nostradamus died. They were sealed behind a wall which only recently was torn down to reinforce the old building which is now a landmark." So we are given something new to ponder over and wonder about. Many of the unpublished prophecies have to do with the Second Coming of Christ and visitors from Outer Space as well as several appearances by the Virgin Mary.
Also included with the book is a two-page insert called "Nostradamus' Black Prophecies," one of which is a story in itself. Keeping in mind that the book was published in 1983, the insert contains a prophecy that declares, "In the year eighty plus nine, the vast East collapses." You may recall that it was in 1989 that the student revolt in China happened, followed by a bloody massacre and the complete breakdown of law and order in China that lasted for several weeks. It's just such moments that keep students of Nostradamus hooked. In any case, I heartily recommend "Nostradamus' Unpublished Prophecies" to both the adept scholar and the newcomer to the prophet. Whatever lies ahead of us in the future may have already been seen and documented in the four-line poems of a man who spoke through time itself.
The Prophecies of Nostradamus [DOWNLOAD: MICROSOFT READER]
Michel de Nostredame, later known as Nostradamus, was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. His family converted from Judaism to Christianity in 1502, as a result of persecution on the ascension of Louis the XII. After a classical education he studied medicine and astrology. As a physician Nostradamus came to specialize in the Plague (the bubonic plague), on which he was recognized as one of the foremost experts. During his lifetime the Black Death (the Plague) wiped out over a quarter of Europe. He used pioneering treatments for the Black Death and was successful in lessening its impact in the capital of Provence, Aix. The grateful citizens gave him a stipend for life. But in his 'Traité des fardemens', he frankly admitted that none of his cures actually had much effect on the disease. On his semi-retirement Nostradamus turned to writing - primarily astrology and prophecy. He began to write his prophetic verses in the city of Salon, in 1554. They are divided into ten sections called Centuries (referring not to 100 years, but to the number of verses in each section). These Centuries were published in 1555 and 1558, and have been in print continuously ever since. Nostradamus had his visions while staring into water or flame late at night, sometimes aided by herbal stimulants. The resulting quatrains (4 line verses) are obscure, making extensive use of puns, anagrams and allegorical imagery. Most of the quatrains are open to multiple interpretations, and some seem to make no sense at all. Others are alarming, literal descriptions of events, giving specific names, geographic locations, and sometimes actual dates. This combination of vagueness and specificity allows each new generation to reinterpret Nostradamus. Nostradamus purportedly predicted his own death. When his assistant wished him goodnight on July 1, 1566, Nostradamus is said to have pronounced, "You will not find me alive at sunrise." He was found dead on July 2, 1566.
Saint Germain's Prophecy for the New Millennium
Reviewer: A reader from Mexico City, México
This is a very well-written and well-researched book, but most importantly, it gives us a very profound sense of hope by saying that prophecy is just a warning, it's not intended to panick people and make them buy tons of supply and just wait for the world to crumble down, but we actually can overcome it and make our destiny what we want it to be.
Nostradamus: Prophecies for America
In the light of the recent tragedy that has changed our world, David Ovason, the foremost expert on the prophecies of Michel Nostradamus, has reexamined the writings of the 16th Century French seer. What Ovason discovered was startling: a quatrain that specifically predicts the horrific terrorist attack on New York City that killed more people in one day than died in America's three-year War of Independence. In this bold new nterpretation of Nostradamus's prescient texts, Ovason reveals with reasoned, intelligent scholarship what the Master presaged for the United States-a nation that did not exist in Nostradamus's time-including the shocking foretelling of a devastating fire to approach a great new city
and the coming of a new age of prosperity for us all. Renowned scholar David Ovason also reveals how Western history's most remarkable clairvoyant predicted the most momentous events in the development of the United States, including:The settlement of Jamestown The Declaration of Independence The founding of St. Louis The development of electricity The invention of manned flight The Apollo space programAND The terrorist attack on America and the destruction of the World Trade Center
The Final Prophecies of Nostradamus
Reviewer: Maryan from Boston
This book was rated very highly by other readers and I'm sure it is a 5 star book, that's why I left it that way in my review. My problem with the book was that (for me) it was hard to understand. If I wanted to look at what's headed our way, I'm not sure where to look in the book. I've read before somewhere that in the seventh month of 1999 there will be two suns in the sky. I wanted to read more about that, yet I couldn't find it. Maybe I bought the wrong book. Anyways, I don't want to say that it's a bad book but for me, I'm just learning about Nostradamas, it was a bit confusing.
Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies
On the cusp of the millennium, this weighty volume will likely ride the wave of renewed interest in fin de siecle-type prophecies. This 16th century French physician and occultist has a four century edge of notoriety over contemporary prognosticators. Noting his quarter century investment of research, this Seattle author is admittedly a longtime Nostradamus believer who still claims to present a comprehensive, objective interpretation of these prophecies into the distant future. Written in archaic French, in 1,100 cryptic quatrains (filling 10 volumes in their original incarnation!), they aimed to give rational semblance to the mysteries of the divine while confounding the ever-threatening Inquisition. Like all believers in matters beyond verification by science, Hogue (credentials unspecified) harnesses Nostradamus' ambiguities to buttress his own beliefs - a fault he acidly criticizes in others, as well as to rationalize that averted (i. e., incorrectly predicted) destinies are either misinterpretations or the result of free will. Whether or not one accepts that symbolic representations such as "the crooked cross" portend the Nazi swastika, and others the AIDS epidemic, this compendium is fascinating for its biography of a man - and elucidation of the controversies over his interpreters - who will continue to be controversial into the 21st century. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
Nostradamus : Predictions of World War III
Though the prophecies of Nostradamus covered several certuries, the predictions of the worlds most famous seer seem more appropriate now than ever before. The author untagles the web of confusion that often surrounds Nostradamus' work. And he does it with considerable success, pointing out the inconsistancies in some of the verses and where others hit the nail right on the head. Jack Manuelian has combed through the prophecies of more modern seers pointing out how they may agree with what... |
