JAKES STORY

Hello my name is Jake the fashion freak. I've been waiting for such a long time to become a pokemon trainer and that time has actually come! Professor Oak didn't have any pokemon at the time so he went out to catch me one. I told him to bring me a fire pokemon. Oak is the kind of person who would wear overalls to a wedding. Nope, no fashion there, not at all! But he should be here any time now; in fact I think I see him. Yes! That's him, finally. He said hello, but he also said to be careful this pokemon could be tricky. Yeah right, I thought, what could it be a weedle (oh my god everyone run!). "Because your first pokemon is a vulpix." Oh my god! This has got to be the most fashionable pokemon there ever was! As soon as he gave some instructions and I said good-bye, I left. Vulpix is probably very powerful, I thought, why else would Oak warn me like that?
Well as I was scrubbing through the tall grass, I was wondering, where would I get a pidgey? The reason I want a pidgey is because it is the most beautiful and strongest flying pokemon. Now it's not the most beautiful pokemon of all. But hey! I gotta start somewhere. Darn! There's no pidgeys anywhere around! Well I didn't want a pidgey anyway so there! Cool, I made it all the way to Viridian City. I went into a strange place called a pokecenter, I went inside and there was a nurse named Joy and a chansey A RARE AND ELUSIVE POKEMON THAT IS SAID TO BRING HAPPINESS TO THOSE WHO MANAGE TO GET ONE.
The chansey took my vulpix, but then gave it back. Nurse Joy said that there was nothing wrong with my pokemon and that this was a hospital for sick and injured pokemon. So as I was walking out the door, I saw a poster. It said that if you collect all ten badges (including the two newest ones the Yas and the Kas Gym) you get to fight in the pokemon league. But down at the bottom of the poster I saw the name Ash. Now I remember seeing the name at Oaks place, he was about 17 now and he started out at my age.

I started to step into the Viridian forest when I realized that I was supposed to meet my cousin, Misti in this forest. She really enjoys water pokemon, I think she has a dratini. I stepped into the Viridian forest and prepared myself for battle. Huh? Prepared myself for battle? Then I realized that someone had challenged me to a battle. "You cannot win" the bug catcher shouted. Then he threw out a strange, worm-like pokemon. It's name was caterpie-ITS SHORT FEET ARE TIPPED WITH SUCTION PADS THAT ENABLE IT TO TIRELESSLY CLIMB SLOPES AND WALLS.I started to step into the Viridian forest when I realized that I was supposed to meet my cousin, Misti in this forest. I can beat this one easy! Go vulpix! Then he made caterpie do a move called tackle. Caterpie reared back and slammed into vulpix. What a pathetic move! Then I made vulpix do ember-attack! Vulpix sent out streams of sparks, the sparks hit caterpie and he fainted instantly! Then the bug catcher sent out another caterpillar named weedle-OFTEN FOUND IN FORESTS, EATING LEAVES. IT HAS A SHARP, VENOMOUS STINGER ON ITS HEAD.
Go vulpix; finish him off just like before, ember vulpix! Vulpix did the same thing only this time it slammed weedle into a tree. I had won my first battle!!!

" Ha Ha Ha. You think that was so good don't you. Well he was just a beginner." There she was, she called herself Lass and she had four strong pokemon. She had a pidgeyA COMMON SIGHT IN FORESTS AND WOODS, IT FLAPS ITS WINGS AT GROUND LEVEL TO KICK UP BLINDING SAND, ratatta BITES ANYTHING WHEN IT ATTACKS. SMALL AND VERY QUICK, IT IS A COMMON SIGHT IN MANY PLACES.
Pikachu WHEN SEVERAL OF THESE POKEMON GATHER, THEIR ELECTRICITY CAN BUILD AND CAUSE LIGHTNING STORMS.
, and spearow EATS BUGS IN GRASSY AREAS. SPEAROW HAS TO FLAP ITS SHORT WINGS AT HIGH SPEEDS TO STAY AIRBORN.
. First she threw out pidgey! But behind me Misti came out and said "Not so fast, I'm going to help him." Lass just replied with" As if I cared!" Pidgey went out, Misti threw out dratini! Pidgey whirled a whish of sand; dratini just wrapped around pidgey for a while and knocked him out! Then Lass threw out a ratatta! When I put out vulpix, ratatta started biting and biting at his tails! How dare you destroy real beauty! I angrily told vulpix to perform a quick attack! Vulpix swished back and forth, and then he slammed into ratatta as hard as he could! Ratatta crashed to the floor and was over (at least for a while). Lass sent out a pikachu! Misti's dratini slammed pikachu then slammed pikachu, then sent him out cold with another slam! When Lass threw out a spearow, my vulpix was ready, I mean really ready! Spearow pecked and pecked so fast so fast that it became fury attack. But my vulpix then did an ember, weakened him with a tail whip, and then finished her off with a quick attack! We had won and now Misti was going to come along with me on my journey. We were now about half way there!Well since we were half way there we thought we might as well look for some pokemon. But we got extremely tired so we sat down to talk about the next city. Misti said that the next city was Pewter City. She said there was a pokemon gym there. Flint was the gym leader there and he raised rock pokemon, he has been for the last 5 years. Misti said that my vulpix could evolve with a firestone into nine tails. We decided to get up but as we did, Misti heard some rustling in the bushes. We ran, chasing the noise for what seemed like hours, finally we gave up and we went to sleep because it was getting real late.
When we woke up it was real early, I felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open. Misti's dratini started going crazy, Misti said it was dratini could sense another water pokemon close by. Again we chased it but this time we caught up with it. We uncovered the last bit of bushes and it turned out to be a squirtle! I let Misti catch this one because water is her specialty. She threw out dratini! squirtle sent out a string of bubbles. It hurt dratini and slowed down a little too. Dratini used a thunder wave! It hit squirtle, paralyzed him, and Misti threw a pokeball! It went sailing through the air, hit squirtle, and ____ed him up like a lit up vacuum. It shook, shook again, and as it started to shake the third time we held our breath. It stopped moving and Misti had caught a squirtle!

That was so cool, I told her, now that you have two pokemon you have an extra power supply. But inside I myself really wanted to catch a pokemon too. Well I can't catch one by standing around and moping. Little did I know that my second pokemon was staring right at me, watching me, studying me. Ha, not for long! The pikachu fell out of the tree with a pika! But he was as ready as ever, he kept on chanting, Pika pika pika pika. I sent out vulpix! Vulpix whipped pikachu with all of it's six tails! Pikachu just growled at vulpix and tried to distract him! No such luck, vulpix sent out another ember attack! Pikachu faced it with a thundershock! Pikachu tried to do a thunderwave, but vulpix did quick attack and dodged it! Then vulpix slammed into pikachu! Pikachu didn't faint, but gave up! He seemed happy that I had beat him. I threw a pokeball and pikachu jumped into it in mid flight! Ha, my first caught pokemon, vulpix was happy too he also was going, vul pix pix vul vulpix!
Ha ha, we finally made it out of the Viridian forest and into Pewter City! Misti told me that the boulderbadge could be earned at this gym. I found the pokecenter and vulpix and pikachu were recharged and healed. Misti also said that I might need some potions in case my pokemon were seriously hurt. So I left the pokecenter and went to the pokemart. There was a nice lady named Emily asked if I wanted to buy anything, I said that I wanted some potions and she gave me three. The name of the gym leader was Flint. He had a son who was in the elite4. I walked over and saw a towering rock building, over the top it said BOULDER GYM. I walked in; there was a man that was already fighting him. His name was Slash. He beat Flint, barely. His pokemon were a diglett and a charmander.

After Flint finished healing his pokemon, Misti challenged him. As they were fighting, I thought about my strategy, vulpix would be good for weakening and pikachu would be good for finishing them off. She beat him, he healed his pokemon. I challenge you, I shouted. He didn't say a word and threw out a strange pokemon. Its name was geodude. I sent out my vulpix! Geodude threw rocks at vulpix and hurt him. I made vulpix heat him up and he was burned. I took back my vulpix. I then threw out my pikachu! Pikachu thundershocked him and geodude was down! But I still had one more pokemon to beat. Then he sent out a pokemon that towered over vulpix! Its name was aerodactyl; it flew up into the air and sailed down toward vulpix! He hit vulpix hard! I used a potion on vulpix! Then vulpix jumped on aerodactyl's back so he couldn't be attacked. Then he hit him with a confusing ray.

Aerodactyl crashed to the ground! Vulpix then hit him with five embers. He turned red hot and fainted. I had won! Flint handed me the boulderbadge and smiled. He said that I had inspired him to train harder to become an even better trainer. Afterwards Slash said that he would come along with us. He said that he trained mostly fire and ground pokemon. So Misti, Slash, and I went out and headed towards Mt. Moon.Slash said that Mt. Moon had many types of pokemon. So as you probably guessed I wanted to catch another. But I was stopped by a girl, her name was, Lass! Luckily, it was a different Lass. She challenged me and said that she would beat me! Ha! I chucked my pikachu at her. She sent out a nidoran female. Pikachu, do a thundershock! Pikachu sent out a blast of electricity that wiped out nidoran female in a single blow! Ha ha, I had won for the fourth time in a row!
But as I started to walk again somebody challenged me! It was the bug catcher. He sent out beedrill, I quietly, yet angrily beat him. After that battle, I kinda stopped counting. But I finally made it out of the stampede of trainers. As soon as I did, Misti, Slash, and I stood in awe under the huge mountain! But before we went in I saw a pokemon! It waddled out from underneath the grass and said Jiigglypuuufff. I put out my vulpix! Jigglypuff took his hands up into the air and hit vulpix over the head! Then vulpix embered jigglypuff, then jigglypuff fell down, the perfect chance! I threw my second pokeball! Again it hit the pokemon, but this time the ball didn't even shake, I had caught him! Happily, I jogged into the cave laughing.
It was really nice in there, that is until a hiker saw us. Luckily he challenged Slash. I will beat you, Slash yelled. Hiker laughed and sent out geodude! Slash sent out his diglett! Diglett dove under the rocky surface of the cave floor, came up right underneath geodude and sent him flying. Geodude sat down and blew up! He exploded, knocking out diglett instantly! Then Slash threw out his charmander! Hiker put out an onix! Charmander scratched him and scratched him until his claws looked like some kind of tornado! He kept on scratching him and sparks were flying every which direction! Onix fainted and charmander started looking funny. First his arms puffed up and became more muscular. Then his whole body puffed up! The last thing that changed is that he grew a bump on his head. He had evolved into charmeleon! We were so tired, so we trained our pokemon by fighting each other over and over. It actually helped, I think more people should try it, really.
