Topographic Surveys are graphic representations of phiysical properties of the land natural and man made features such as fences, buildings, roads, valleys, streams, lakes, etc.
Generally used as a planning and design tool prior to construction of roads or buildings, the precision of the survey will vary with it's intended use. Most topographic surveys for construction of residential projects will require contour intervals of 2 to 5 feet depending on the terrain and other factors.
These surveys should be performed in conjunction with Lot Surveys or Boundary Surveys to show lines of possession. |
