She then went downstairs to talk to Alex about Derek.
"He has to go on vacation or I'm gonna commit him, Alex.
Nick can be a pain in the butt at times-to go after him like that."

"Rachel, do you think he'll agree to taking some time off? He doesn't
even like to take a day off from work."

"I don't know if he'll agree, but I do know that I'll have
him commited-he is a danger to others...especially Nick," said Rachel.

It's 2:00, and still no sign of Derek. Rachel has to leave
in an hour to pick Kat up from school. "Where the hell is he?!
He hits some one and then disapears for hours! I'm beginning to
forget the whole vacation thing and just commit him." Rachel yelled.

It's now 2:45, and Derek is still has not come back to
the mansion. Alex went upstairs to see her friend while
Rachel was on the phone talking to the sitter about picking
Kat up from school. Rachel then went up to Nick's room to talk
to him about the situation with Derek. All three of them agreed
that Derek should take some time off or be commited. Nick
liked the part of Derek being commited. "He needs to spend some
time in the loony bin. He has been acting crazy and those visions
have been weird lately. He always knows when I'm doing something he doesn't like. Alex has visions, and I never hear her say,'Nick, you
finished the last of the cake-I had a vision of you doing so.'"
After Nick said that, Derek walked in the front door and
yelled,"Where the hell is everybody?!"
Rachel said as she left the room,"That's it-he's being commited."

Derek was pacing back and forth like a mad man when Rachel came
down the stairs. She tried to get through to him about taking a
vacation, but she couldn't. So, she had him commited for observation.
It turned out that Derek suffers from OCD and is bipolar.
