Derek wrote in his journal that night,'I don't
understand Nick. He called NY-it wasn't even
job related. It was to win tee shirts from a
stupid show. TRL what a stupid name. I don't understand
today's youth. Nick is so lazy-doesn't want to do his
own laundry. He wants a girlfriend so she can do it for him.'

Rachel and Alex were sitting in the library the next morning
discussing Derek's anamosity towards Nick. Both ladies
are concerened that Derek might snap at any moment and
hurt Nick. They belived that he should take some time
off and go some place relaxing. Derek walked into the
library and said,"Good morning,ladies. How are you this
morning?" They said hi to him and told him that
they were fine. Rachel asked Derek,"Did you find out
who was calling New York?"

"Yes, it was Nick-he called a t.v. show called TRL
so he could win tee shirts. How many goddamn shirts
does he need?! He's driving me crazy with his immature ways.
He told me that he wanted a girlfriend so she can do his
laundry for him."

"Derek, lighten up. Nick is only trying to make
you laugh-you are always so serious. Maybe he
was trying to win the shirts for Kat-she loves
TRL,"Rachel told him. Angrily, Derek left the
room because he didn't like what Rachel had
said to him.

After he left the room, Nick came into the library
and said,"Hi, Alex and Rache. Did you see Derek yet?
I'm trying to stay out of his way for a couple of days."

"Hi, Nick. Yes, we saw Derek-you just missed him. He's
angry with you for calling New York so you can win shirts.
Derek didn't like your girlfriend and laundry comment." Rachel told him.

"Rachel, I was only joking about the girlfriend and the laundry-can't
he take a joke. I win the shirts so I can give Kat a few-I know that she
and her friends like that show."

"I know that, Nick. I told him that, and he didn't like what I had to say.
He walked out of the room in a huff. He needs a vacation-I'll
try and bring it up. Hopefully, he'll be in a better mood."
