In London, I'll find Cassie and convince her to drop this silly notion of hers about adopting you. I should've killed her when I had the chance in Washington D.C., but Bridgette got in my way. It's something about this car that makes me want to speed. Derek and the others complain about my speeding as well." Nick replied back to her. "Speaking of Derek, you don't like him." She said to Nick. "I like him. We had a little misunderstanding a while back. Derek sometimes gets into a mood and takes things out on us. Rachel is the only one who can get him into a better mood. When I used to make my comments about Derek, she didn't mind. Now that she's dating him, she doesn't like them." Nick said to Cassie. "Who was that Cross/Horton person the two of you were talking about?" Cassie asked him. "Cross was sent by the London House to do an investigation on the death of Reed Horton. Only it was never Cross who showed up, it was Horton. He touched Cross's chest and sucked the life force out of him. By doing that, he was able to be Cross. Anyway Cross/Horton wanted Derek out of the picture so he could get Alex, Rachel, Kristin and me over to the darkside and question everything that the Legacy stood for. I didn't believe that Derek would kill someone and then cover it up. Cross/Horton did a good job doctoring documents and by pretending to be Arthur Middleton, really convinced the ladies that Derek did kill Horton and covered it up. I didn't buy it for a second." Nick told her. |
