"Hi, Derek. Nick and Cassie went for a walk. Rachel called and said
that she might be a little late-car trouble.

"See you in the conference room in twenty minutes," Derek said leaving
the kitchen. The black sweater and jeans he was wearing matched his mood.
Derek isn't in a good mood because he has to have a conference
with William Sloan via satellite. William Sloan and Derek Rayne
don't always agree on matters concerning the Legacy.

Nick and Cassie entered the kitchen, a minute after Derek left the
room. "Hi, Alex," they said together.

"Hi, Nick and Cassie. Cassie, I'm making tea and blueberry waffles.
Do you want me to fix you the same?"

Sitting down at the tan table, Cassie replied,"Yes, please."

Rachel walked into the kitchen and she looked all professional in her pale
yellow sweater and a black mini skirt. "Hi, guys. My car took forever to
start up this morning. Kat almost missed the bus at school for her class
trip to Malibu-something about the enviroment. I'm hungry-I never had the
chance to eat breakfast. What are you making, Alex?" Rachel asked.

"Herbal tea-honey lemon and blueberry waffles. Do you want me to fix
you the same, Rachel?"
