Nick took Cassie on his tour of the grounds and the castle. In the Legacy
House, he showed her his favorite hideouts that he goes to when he needs a
break from the others-especially Derek. After the tour, they left the
grounds and headed over to the docks. The docks are Nick's favorite place
to bring a girl he's interested in. Seagulls were flying above their heads.
As they looked out into the SanFrancisco Bay at the boats passing by, Nick
told Cassie a little bit about himself because he believed that he can
trust her, and she reminded him of some one-Juila. What he told her wasn't
pretty, and he doesn't know how she'll react, but he told her anyway.
"I had a rough childhood. My father was a drunk, and he used to take things
out on my mother, brother and me by hitting us. When my brother was
17, he left because he couldn't take it anymore-I was ten when he left.
My brother died a year ago. My old man was in the military, and he
loved testing and pushing me hard. When I was 12, I was in the car
with him, and he told me to jump out of the car because the breaks
weren't working. The car was moving at about 20 mph-I didn't jump out
of it. It was a test, and I failed because I didn't follow his
directions-I hate following directions because of what my dad
did to me. My father also worked for the Legacy-he worked with Derek.
My father was murdered by a Legacy member who joined the darkside.
I was in the Navy S.E.A.L.S. for a while-I was honorably discharged.
After that, I joined the Luna Foundation-Legacy."
