Cassie's Room

Cassie's dream:

Vicky had come over to Brigette's house and found Cassie in the kitchen just standing there. "Cassie, hi. What's wrong?" The blond asked her friend. She saw Brigette's body and screamed. "When did this happen...how did this happen?"

Cassie looked at her friend and tears were rolling down her cheeks. "She was like this when I got here. Who would do something like that to Brigette?" Cassie stated ina small voice. Vicky went to the phone and called the police.

Winthrop Residence Two Weeks later:

"Please, Aunt Frankie let me go to Maggie Cory's party. Amanda and Matt will be there."

"I don't feel like going out tonight. You and Charlie can rent a movie." Frankie said to her niece.

"Can't Uncle Morgan take me. Please let me go. It hasn't been the same since what happened to..." Tears streamed down her cheeks, and her aunt hugged her tightly.

"Ok. You can go to Maggie's party, but no pizza for dinner. I'm making tofu pasta. Help me convince Charlie to eat it." Cassie nodded her head and then hugged her aunt. "Do you want to help me in the kitchen?"

"Yes. Can we please listen to Gin Blossom?" She asked her aunt hoping that the answer would be yes.

"I guess so. Find Charlie and tell her to help us make dinner." Cassie left the room and went to her and Charlie's room.

"Hey Charlie girl, what's ya doing? It's time to set the table. We can listen to Gin Blossom. I get to go to Mags party."

"Cool. Are we having pizza tonight? I'm so happy that you're going to be living with us. I wish Mags was my sister. That wasn't nice what Cecille did to my dad." Charlie replied in a sad tone.

"Yeah, I wish that she was my cousin. It was fun the time that she stayed here. Nope...it's tofu spaghetti tonight. I'm kindda in the mood for it. I had pizza for lunch any way." Cassie got her CD, and she and Charlie left the room. They headed for the kitchen. Cassie put the CD in the boom box. "What do you want me to do Aunt Frankie?"

"You can boil the water and cook the spaghetti. Charlie, when your finished setting the table, you can fix the salad." Frankie told the girls. Charlie made a face at the sight of the tofu.

"Why can't we have meat like normal people? I can't stand tofu." Her mother made a face at her.

"You know that I like natural things. Cassie understands that, right Cassie?" Frankie looked at her niece.

She nodded. "There's nothing wrong with tofu if it's seasoned. Charlie, at least we don't have to eat rice cakes." Cassie laughed and started to sing along to the CD.
Her aunt smiled at her and said, "Very funny. I think from now on for lunch Cassie you'll be having cheese on rice cakes." She looked at Charlie and said, "You can go to the park to play soft ball with your friends since Cassie is going to the Cory Mansion. Tomorrow, we'll go shopping for school clothes." The water came to a boil, and Cassie put the pasta in the pot.

Cory Mansion

Frankie dropped Cassie off at the house and said to her, "I'm so glad you are going to live with us permently. Tomorrow after we go clothes shopping, we'll go over to the herbal store. I think that you are ready to learn about the healing powers of herbs."

Cassie smiled at her aunt. "I'm glad that I'm living with you guys. Yeah, I'm ready to learn Aunt Frankie. I love you." She got out of the car and walked to the front door of the Cory estate. She rang the doorbell, and Amanda opened it. "Hi, Amanda. How's Allie?" Cassie asked the blond.

"Hi, Cassie. Allie is great. Thanks for asking. Maggie and the others are in the den." Amanda told her.

Frankie drove a little ways down the road when she had car trouble. She got out of the car, and a man grabbed her from behind. Frankie screamed and kicked him in the groin and ran towards the old ice house on the Cory estate. The man in the black ski cap followed her to the house, and he pulled a stocking from his pants pocket and put it around her neck. She fought him him with all her strenghth. He hit her in the face and then pulled her to the floor. He got on top of Frankie, and she hit him with her purse. He picked up the stocking and strangled her.

The Den:

Maggie said to Cassie, Sophia, Denise and Brandi, "I'm bored of listening to music and painting our nails. Who wants to play truth or dare?"

Cassie replied, "It's been such a long time since I've played truth or dare. So lets play it." Soph and the other two girls nodded their heads.

"Ok since it was my idea, I go first. Sophia, Truth or Dare?"

Sophia looked at the red head. "Truth."

"Ok. Who do you think is cuter Tomas or Nick*? Who would you like to date?" The brunette blushed.

"I think Nick is cute. I'd like to date him, but Joe won't let me date until I'm 18. I'm his bambina sister." She told the girls.

Denise turned to Cassie and asked, "Truth or dare?"

"Dare of course."

"I dare you to go into the woods and catch fire flies."

Maggie said, "Hey why don't we all do that. The one who collects the least has to jump in the pool with all their clothing on."
