Not only is she the future queen and main character of the series but she is also a cry-baby and a klutz. Throughout the five series, Usagi slowly realizes her potential as she matures into the queen that she is. From her faltering will in the initial confrontation with Queen Beryl her steadfast battle against the Death Busters her maturity is obvious.
She is also the most kind and pure hearted person of all the Bishoujo Senshi. Her kindness and compassion to others extends to such a great degree such that it seems naïve on the surface. When she stood by this belief to the extreme in the S series, not only is her sincerity apparent but her will power was well. Her beliefs contrasted with that of Ten'ou Haruka and Kaiou Michiru. Both Haruka and Michiru believed that it is necessary to sacrifice a life (or a few lives) to save the world. On the other hand, Usagi believed that there is always a solution without human sacrifice. Near the end of the S series, when the Death Busters possessed Tomoe Hotaru's body, Usagi never failed to protect her life, even when the world was on the edge of doom. She knew that giving the Holy Grail to the possessed Hotaru could mean disaster, but she took the risk. Usagi finally prevailed when her undying pure heart empowered her to transform into Super Sailor Moon without the Holy Grail, thus enabling her to enter the core of the evil entity and rescue Hotaru.
