Although she meditates a lot in her grandfather's temple, Rei has a hot temper. She may seem to be at odds with Usagi by picking on her all the time, but like what Minako stated; only the closest friends argue all time. She has such great concern for her fellow warriors such that she gets quite emotional about it. During the final battle with the Dark Kingdom, Usagi broke down into tears as well as courage while each warrior died. Rei slapped her back on track.
"Hi" - meaning fire in Japanese; fully matched her character: Hot headed and rash, and jumping into situations without thinking too thoroughly. She has a sense of pride about her that she does not openly show her concern for others. When her admirer was risking his life to save her she desperately intervenes without reservation.
