Gohan
Goku and Chi-Chi's son, . Physically, he resembles Goku, right down to his tail and his power to become a Giant Monkey when he looks at the full moon. Spiritually.He is of good and pure heart.
Because of his protective mother, Gohan begins life as something of a sissy, but when the Earth isin danger, he reveals his huge potential as a fighter. In one instance, He uncontrollably ,charges up, in order to rescue his father from a horrible situation. Soon Gohan is forced into training in preparation for the guaranteed arrival of the Saiyans. As a result, he becomes a formidable fighter in his own right under the guidance of Piccollo.
Gohan first masters survival training. He is abandoned for six months in the wilderness, where he must battle hunger, illness, saber tooth tigers and huge dinosaurs, among other things. Next comes intense fighting against Piccollo to train Gohan in the art of war. His mission: [To kill the Saiyans and save Earth]. Gohan learns many lessons under Piccollo, such as [don't see the enemy, feel him].Gohan's loss of nerve in the battle against the Saiyans costs his friends dearly. Never able to forget his failure, he is determined to make up for his wimpiness.
Goku
Goku is the hero . He is the most powerful fighter on the Earth and the first Super Saiyan in over 3,000 years. Having honed his skills and strengthened his spirit to a level never achieved by any person on Earth, Goku is able to fly, shoot energy beams from his hands, move at incredible speeds and, in a pinch, power up to a fighting level so high it creates an energy field around his body. Goku hasn't learned these skills just for fun, his life is forced down this path as he battles the evil Saiyans in the battle to save the Earth.
When the Saiyans arrive,they're are a few shocks . Not only does Goku meet his deadliest foe ever, but he learns the mysterious secret of his own past, he is a Saiyan formerly known as Kakarot who was sent to destroy the planet Earth. Goku's destiny is altered, however, when he is discovered in the woods as an baby and raised by a peaceful man. A near-fatal head injury scrambles Goku's memory. Instead of growing up to become a destructive super-fighter, he becomes innocent and pure of heart, fighting only for good.
If goku has a weakness, it is his trusting nature. Goku is always looking for the good in people and can often find it where others do not. This costs him dearly when be believes that the Saiyan named Raditz has turned away from evil. Goku later pays the ultimate price to rid the Earth of Raditz. Fortunately for our hero and for the Earth, it's not the end of Goku. He is taken to the dead World to train under King Kai in preparation for the coming of two even stronger Saiyans. The Dragonballs will summon him when the Saiyans approach Earth.
Vegeta
Vegeta is the most powerful and feared of all the Saiyans,except kakarot. He bears the name of the planet from which he hails. Cunning, ruthless and cruel in battle, he enjoys toying with those helpless creatures who dare oppose him. He is a "Super Elite," the highest class of Saiyans, and believes he and Nappa can conquer Earth in three days.
As the mightiest Saiyan warrior, Vegeta has no tolerance for failure. In fact, he has eliminated his own men for showing weakness. After Nappa fails to defeat Goku, for instance, Vegeta gets rid of him,with out mercy.
Like all Saiyans who still possess their tails, Vegeta transforms into a Giant Monkey when he sees the full moon, increasing his strength ten x. This is when a Saiyan is at his highest potential. Arrogant to a fault, Vegeta hates the thought of being weaker than any other creature. Due to this fear he is constantly training and searching for the extra edge that will keep him on top. Vegeta is even more intent on destroying Gohan, for he realizes that the combination of human and Saiyan is stronger than human or Saiyan alone. Physically smaller than Goku, Vegeta has wild black hair that is pushed back by a receding hairline. Nevertheless, he can power up to incredible levels, and destroy entire planets.
When he gathers all the Dragonballs his wish is simple, Immortality.
Frieza
Haughty, malicious, seemingly invincible and power-hungry, with absolutely no compassion, Frieza is feared as the most powerful and evil being in the Unvierse with no rival being even close to his strength. Upon learning about the, legendary Dragonballs, Frieza is consumed with the desire to gather the Drabonballs, summon the Dragon, and gain his wish for Immortality. Then he can rule the entire universe, unrivaled, forever. Understanding the capability of the Saiyans as fighters, he eliminates their planet to destroy the competition. In his search for the Dragonballs on Namek, he ruthlessly and predictably eliminates all who get in his way. The very mention of his name strikes dread and fear across the universe.
Piccollo
Once Goku's arch enemy, Piccollo is the second most powerful being on Earth. He wears an extremely heavy cape that constantly trains his muscles. He is reknown for his powerful energy blasts as well as his ability to split into separate people. Piccollo has the ability to regenerate limbs lost in battle, a capability that comes in handy more than once.
Originally from the faraway planet namek. Piccollo begins battling Goku to rule the world. When the Saiyans arrive, however, Piccollo joins forces with Goku to defeat a greater evil.
At first their alliance is uneasy, but as the story progresses their bond grows stronger. Piccollo trains Goku's son, Gohan, for the upcoming battle against the Saiyans. Piccollo is unsure of his own motivations in assisting his onetime enemy and helping to raise his son. Gohan sees the good within Piccollo and their relationship brings this good out in him.
Trunks
The son of Bulma and Vegeta, Trunks is a visitor from a very dark future. In Trunk's timeline, Goku contracts a fatal heart disease ,just when the Earth needs to be saved from a terrible fate. Trunks time travels in order to prevent this tragedy, but is drawn into battle before he can warn Goku. Turning Super Saiyan, Trunks first defeats Frieza, and then crushes King Cold. Proving that he is one of the most powerful fighters in the universe, Trunks explains Earth's danger and administers Goku's medicine. Having accomplished his mission, Trunks returns to the future. Trunks later returns to help them battle the Androids.
Androids
An evil scientist named Dr. Gero created the Androids for his own evil purposes. In an attempt to defeat the Z fighters and destroy the Earth, Dr. Gero even goes so far as to turn himself into an Android.
Android 16:
Big and powerful, Android 16 prefers to let his muscles do the talking for him. Android 16 joins 18 in the fight against Cell.
Android 17:
Android 17 is a dark-haired youth with a major attitude problem. He later contributes to the threat against Earth that forces Trunks to travel back in time.
Android 18:
The beautiful Android 18 has a real mean streak, but she does help our heroes make a final stand against the power-hungry Cell.
Android 19:
The first Android to arrive on the Earth, Android 19 is a clever, overweight fighter with a love for cool weapons.
Android 20:
In an attempt to become more powerful than ever, Dr. Gero commands Android 19 to turn him intoan Android. As an Android, Dr. Gero lets nothing get in his way,except for the Z warriors

The main villain of movie #7, Android #13 and his two companions #14 and #15 travel back in time to complete Dr. Gero's primary objective: Kill Son Gokuu. After Trunks and Vegita defeat #14 and #15, their power cells and CPUs are absorbed by #13, who then turns into a huge, bright blue hulk. He is defeated when Gokuu absorbs his own Genki-dama in SSJ form.

Babidi has but one aim: Get revenge for his father's death (Same motive as Garlic Jr). In a twist of irony, Buu turns on Babidi when he realizes that there's no reason to listen to him.

The father of Goku, Bardock is hit with a strange attack that gives him the power to see into the future. Unfortunately, Bardock proves no match for the small purple villain, and is vaporized while attempting to stop Furiza's planet destroying energy ball. In his last moments of life he tells his son that it must be him who defeats Furiza, so that a he would die at a Saiyajin's hand.

Bojack is a very strong villian and is not to be taken lightly. He wears a bandanna and his skin is a blue-green color, and he is the main villian is movie 9. Bojack takes over a martial arts contest and beats on the Z warriors. However, Gohan, with the aid of his father, eventually defeats this villain.
Brolli

The original Super Saiyajin, Brolli exhibits tremendous power, even as an infant. When Planet Vegeta is destroyed by Furiza, it is this power that keep him and his father alive. Before his home planet's destruction, he is traumatized by the constant crying of his crib mate, Goku, and develops an instinctual hatred of him.Years later, Brolli begins his rampage on the universe under his father's command. In order to divert suspicion, Brolli's father actually employs the help of Vegeta and the rest of the Z warriors to find the cause of all this chaos. Brolli's grudge against Goku reveals the plot however, and after the battle Brolli is thought to be destroyed. However, his hatred is strong enough to allow Brolli to come to Planet Earth in movie #10, where he is finally killed. He makes a THIRD appearance when he is cloned in movie #11, and is transformed into a large gelataenous green blob.
Buruma

Buruma is the second character (after Goku) to be introduced into the Dragon Ball series. She hits Goku (and the fish he was carrying) while driving through the woods, searching for the mystical "Dragonballs." She eventually persuades Goku to come along with her, and thought that he would make a good bodyguard. Buruma has blue hair, and is the mother of Trunks. Although Buruma has no skills as a fighter, she is a genius with all sorts of electronics, alien and domestic.
Chaozu

A master telepath, Chaozu has the power to stop people in their tracks or communicate long-distance. Small and pale, he and Tienshinhan are the best of friends (They call each other brothers). Although he puts up a good fight in the original Dragonball series, his power level does not increase much with training; thus he is unable to keep up with the other Z warriors.

Chi-Chi is mother to Gohan and Goten and the spouse of Goku. No matter how powerful Goku becomes, he still is very subserviant to his worrisome wife. ^_^
King Cold

Dabura

Lord of the underworld, Dabura was possessed by the dark mage Babidi to do his bidding. At roughly the same power level as Cell in his perfect form, he is quite a fearsome opponent. Dabura can change his enemies into stone, and will not hesitate to obey his master's commands.
Dai Kaio

Overseer of the galaxy tournament, Dai Kaio appears in movie #12. He's very much into rock music and quite often wears something casual. Although he would never admit it, his power is nothing compared to the Z warriors.

The god of gods, the Dai Kaioshin is absorbed by Majin Buu. Since Buu takes the characteristics of who he absorbs, he becomes fat just like kindly Kaioshin he imprisons within himself. Dai Kaioshin's spirit lives strongly within Buu, and his presence shows as Fat Buu as becomes friends with Mr. Satan.
Dende

The lone survivor of his village, Dende was rescued by Kuririn and Gohan from death in the Furiza saga (Although he later does get killed). After Kami merges with Piccolo, Dende assumes the role of Kami on earth, and creates his own set of Dragonballs. Unlike Piccolo and the other warrior Nameks, Dende is a healer. He has no fighting abilities, but posesses the power to heal others from the brink of death.
Dodoria

Dodoria is one of Furiza's bodyguard warriors. Dodoria is a huge pink fighter who shows absolutely no mercy to those weaker than him. Although he is fairly strong for the time he is around, he is no match for Vegita. He also tends to only pick on people weaker than him, such as Dende, and the other Nameks.
East Kaio-sama

The only female Kaio in the series, she claims to be the fastest hover-bike rider in the universe. Her students participate in the Anoyoichi Budoukai, but don't fare very well.
East Kaioshin

The highest diety remaining after Buu's slaughter of the other gods, Kaioshin comes to Earth during the Budoukai to warn Goku about Babidi's plan to revive Buu. His power is comparable to the Z warriors, as he is by far the most powerful being in heaven. Kaioshin is shocked that Goku and Vegita surpass him, as to him they are merely mortals.

The demon known as Buu was created five million years ago by the dark mage Bibidi. As Buu began attacking the universe, the five overgods (Kaioshins) attempted to destroy him. Three of the Kaioshins were killed, and the Dai Kaioshin was absorbed, becoming a permanent part of the demon (and thus making him fat in appearence). Unlike most absorbtions, the Dai Kaioshin maintained some control over Buu. The West Kaioshin, the one remaining overgod, killed Bibidi, thus freeing Buu from his control. In order to prevent this from occuring again, Buu was sealed in an egg-shaped chamber and sent to the Earth. When Babidi, Bibidi's son, summons Buu, he is once again forced to perform evil acts.

As a Changeling, Furiza has numerous stages of power, each with its own distinct appearance. He has four forms total: His first is weak, but wastes little energy; the second is enormous and twice as powerful; the third looks very much like the queen from "Aliens;" and Furiza's fourth, "true" form is small again, but much sleeker (and of course, more powerful). After he is defeated by Son Goku, his remains are encased in a android body. Furiza operates off of Planet Furiza, where his men are stationed (Including the powerful Ginyu Force).
