Pokemon was created as a Japenese cartoon for kids ages 6-11. In 1995 they brought Pokemno to America to test it on the american kids and see how they like it. In about 3 years (1998) America had given pokemon 5 stars, and Pokemon was elected #1 anime product. After a while they came out with Pokemon cards, videos, toys, and movies.
What is Pokemon? Pokemon is all about a young boy named Ash who's goal is to be the #1 Pokemon Master. To become a Pokemon Master, you must defeat all of the gym leaders and colect more badges. Also another way would be to capture all 150 know species of Pokemon. (Theres actually 251 Pokemon total as of right now) Ash meets friends who join him aside on his journey. After Ash has collected all the bagdes, he begins another journey to the Pokemon League to prove what him and his Pokemon are made of. You are only allowed to carry 6 Pokemon into the Pokemon League, although Ash has much more. If Ash wins the Pokemon League competiton, he is considered a Pokemon Master. Ash has to go up against all of the best pokemon trainers in the world. Can Ash succeed his goal by winning the Pokemon League competition? Catch Pokemon, weekdays at 3:00pm on WB61.

Pokemon is short for Pocket Monsters. When you begin your journey, you are given 1 pokemon to start with. With that Pokemon, you must weekend other wild Pokemon to catch them. Different Pokemon have different weaknesses. Fire is weak against Water. Water is weak against Lighting. Grass is weak against Fire, and so on. You catch Pokemon in Pokeballs. Ash starts with a lightning Pokemon named Pikachu. A course that Ash should use is to use Pikachu, and catch a water pokemon. Use that water Pokemon to catch a fire Pokemon, and so on.
