This saga begins (well it doesn't officially start here, but somewhere close) while the all the Z senshi and others were discussing how they could get to the Planet Namek. Kullilin said that he knew where the remote to control the Saiya-jin space pod was so they could call it and they would be ready to go to Namek. Although only one person could go, they figured that would be ok since they were just collecting the Dragon Balls. The next day Buruma came in with then remote control saying that she had studied it and she was sure that she could get it to come to them. She saw that it had been taken and was in an observation room. She hit the button she thought would make it take off and go straight to them, and to her surprise, it beeped, and blew itself into a million tiny pieces.

Buruma stood there looking straight at the TV in shock at what had happened. After a while of wondering what they were going to do, Mr. Popo arrived on his magic carpet. He told them that he could take one of them to a ship that could take them to Namek. So after a short argument Buruma decided to go with him.

He immediately transported her to the Yunzabit Mountains. He took her to a flat spot where a large porcupine like spaceship stood. Mr. Popo took Buruma over and she searched the ship for a place to get in, but there was none to be found. Then Mr. Popo told Buruma that the ship was voice operated. He stepped up to the large ship and said, "Picollo." The door slowly came down from the bottom and they both stepped on. Buruma got in and tried activating the controls but nothing worked. She got fed up quickly and Popo finally said that it was voice activated just like the door was. So they took off and went as far as to Jupiter in mere seconds. When they returned Buruma told Kullilin and Gohan about the ship, and although Kullilin didn't initially believe her, they made plans on when to take off anyhow.

They all prepared, and a few days later they all gathered to take off for Namek. Kullilin was taking this trip like it was merely a ride in the car, he was wearing a plain t-shirt and pants. While Buruma was decked out in a space suit and helmet. This pissed her off a little because she thought Kullilin wasn't taking this whole trip seriously. When Gohan finally showed up he was dressed up in his nicest clothes thanks to Chi-Chi. He had gotten a haircut and had at least a ton of luggage. All of the Z senshi couldn't keep from laughing. When they all boarded the ship everyone waved goodbye and they sped off into space.

While they were flying through space they trained most of the time, however they had an encounter with a camouflaged space-ship that had hostile aliens (looked like humans) who tried to kill Gohan and Kullilin until they saved everyone from being killed by a large part of the ceiling that had fallen. The people of the ship told Kullilin and Gohan about an evil person named Furiza and then sent them on their way. On the way they crashed on a planet where they met two Nameks who were actually two strange looking aliens in disguise waiting to steal Buruma's ship. Kullilin and Gohan stopped them just in time and they took off and headed straight to Namek.

When they got there two Saiya-jin space pods landing on Namek greeted them. One of which was the healed Vegeta, and the other was Kiwi (Kewie) who was there to try to kill Vegeta. They debated leaving, but then Gohan said that they had to get the Dragon Balls or someone evil might and they would grant themselves immortality and they would never get the Dragon Balls. At about that time, two strange looking men in Saiya-jin armor appeared. The two men shot their ship so that it was unable to fly. When this happened, Gohan and Kullilin attacked them and easily killed them.

Next we saw Vegeta and Kiwi emerge from their space-pods. Kiwi found Vegeta and he engaged in battle with Kiwi thinking that Vegeta's power level is considerably less than his own. Kiwi started fighting just to find that Vegeta's power level had risen greatly. Vegeta easily killed him with a ki blast. Gohan Kullilin and Buruma were traveling along Namek trying to find refuge from enemies. They finally found a good place, a cave, and right as they got there a person flying in a strange capsule with many other people flying behind him passed over. As the people passed by Gohan and Kullilin couldn't help but to shudder as they noticed the immense power that the group was giving off. Specifically the one in the front, he had extraordinary power that they thought could not ever be rivaled. Buruma immediately pulled out the Dragon Radar and saw that the whole group was heading straight towards another Dragon Ball.

Kullilin and Gohan decided that they would go see where everyone was heading. Even though they had to run to get to their destination to keep their power levels down, they still got there with plenty of time to spare. They both peeked over the edge of a cliff and watched someone named Freeza (on a side note, the villains real name is Furiza, but to make it a little easier I am going to say Freeza) and his men forcing a Namek-sei-jin village give up one of their Dragon Balls.

While all this was happening Gokou is in his bed at the hospital still healing when Yajirobei came into the room with a bag of Senzu beans. Gokou ate one, even though the doctor advised him not to, and he instantly flexed and his body cast tore itself into pieces. He got his Gi on and left on Kinotun to go see Buruma's father who had been busy making him a ship to go to Namek in. He made the ship out of the remains of Raditsu's space pod (it wasn't totally destroyed by Gohan). Gokou got to Dr. Brief's house and took off as soon as possible and started training in his gravity room.

Freeza was still trying to get the Namek elder to give up his Dragon Ball, however he refused. To get their attention a green haired alien who was second strongest next to Freeza attacked one of the villagers and killed him without exerting any energy at all. The elder was about to agree when three young Namek-sei-jin showed up and said that they were going to kill Freeza and his henchmen. The three fighters easily killed all of the lower level fighters. While they were fighting, the elder Namek noticed that Freeza's men used odd devices on their faces to figure out where the villages were, and how high a power level they had. He flew into the air and destroyed all the scouters before they could figure out what he was doing.

When they finally figured it out, Dodoria, a red fat henchman of Freeza who was very powerful, was enraged. He went straight for the Elder, but before he could get to him Freeza told Dodoria to kill the younger fighters first. Dodoria attacked them and easily killed all three of them. He then turned toward the elder of the village and made it clear to him that he was going to die. The elder told his two children, Dende and Kalgo (Cargo is his American name, but he wasn't even seen in the dub), to run so they would not be killed. They both took off but before they got a few steps away Dodoria shot a ki blast from his mouth which killed the fleeing Kalgo.

Dende stopped to help his brother and Dodoria took that time to kill the Namek-sei-jin elder. At that time he looked over to Dende who was in shock over the death of his brother and father. Dodoria started walking towards him and prepared to kill him when all of a sudden Gohan could no longer simply watch these events unfold. He placed a kick directly onto Dodoria's face and stood ready to fight him when he got up. Dodoria slowly got up and realized what had happened and prepared to begin attacking Gohan. Right before Dodoria started his assault, Kullilin jumped off the ledge and hit Dodoria from behind. He told Gohan to grab Dende and run.

Without hesitation they both took off flying away from the small village. Dodoria got up and began chasing them with the intent of doing nothing less than killing them. He was much faster than Gohan and Kullilin and he eventually made Kullilin drop Dende who was barely saved from falling to his death when Gohan swooped down and caught him. They kept fleeing while Dodoria was still getting ever closer. Finally Kullilin told Gohan to go on ahead, and turned around to use Taiyoken (solar flare). Dodoria was blinded for a short time by it, and when he finally got his eyesight back, Kullilin Dende and Gohan had all met up where they were hiding. Dodoria couldn't find them, so he simply made a huge ki beam and destroyed the surrounding areas.

This would have easily killed Gohan and Kullilin, however, before the blast reached them, they flew up into the air behind Dodoria. Dodoria, satisfied with his work, decided to return to Freeza. Gohan Kullilin and Dende all started heading towards the cave that Buruma was in thinking they were totally safe. Dodoria was on his way back to Freeza when all of a sudden a huge ball of ki sped towards him and he narrowly dodged it. He pulled himself out of the water to see that it was Vegeta who had taken him from behind.

Dodoria asked Vegeta to give him his scouter, however he refused and crushed it to make Dodoria even madder. Dodoria kept boasting about how he could easily kill Vegeta, and finally Vegeta attacked him, grabbing him by the arms and pulling them in opposite directions. Dodoria was in such great pain, that he decided to plead for his life with Vegeta. He told Vegeta that if he let him go that he would tell him a secret about the Planet Vegeta. Vegeta obliged and let him free, waiting to hear the secret Dodoria spoke of.

Dodoria told him that it was not truly a meteor shower that had destroyed The Planet Vegeta, but rather Freeza himself. Vegeta was more proud of this than shocked. He loved the idea that Freeza had to eliminate the race for fear of them becoming more powerful than himself and overthrowing the almighty Freeza. Dodoria immediately took off thinking that he was free to go, however, Vegeta now had the information he wanted so he killed him effortlessly.

Vegeta suddenly noticed Gohan's ki in the distance and decided he would get his revenge. He took off for Gohan and Kullilin and after a few seconds was right on top of them. Kullilin had noticed Vegeta's approaching ki and directed Gohan and Dende to hide. Vegeta could sense Dende's ki, even though it was very vague. He started heading straight towards the three and right as he was about to get close enough to see them a huge whale jumped out of the water next to them. When Vegeta saw that he figured that the whale was giving off the ki and it was nothing to worry about, so he went on his way. The three then came out from hiding, and although a bit shocked at how close that was, managed to find Buruma and tell her what had happened.

Buruma also had learned that Gokou is coming to Namek and should be there within 6-7 days. Everyone was ecstatic that he will be there to help, and according to Dr. Briefs, he would arrive there much stronger than before thanks to some training equipment. All of the Z senshi celebrated, but then had to go on to more pressing issues. While this was happening Vegeta had already planned out what he would do. He figured that it was useless to try and attack Freeza, because he would just be killed easily. He decided to go get one, and only one Dragon Ball for himself and let Freeza do the rest of the work. So he went and attacked a village. The Namek-sei-jin were so reluctant that Vegeta finally got fed up and killed all 32 of them.

When he had finished this he went and found the Dragon Ball in one of the huts. In order for it not to be found, he hid it in the lake nearby the village and left to steal Freeza's Dragonballs. Goku, who is still training with the gravity machine, was in the middle of training when Kaio-sama contacted him. Kaio-sama told Gokou that all of his friends had arrived and they were going to begin the same training that Gokou went through. Gokou was happy to hear his old friend's voices again, and he told them all about what had happened with Freeza and the others on Namek-sei.

When Kaio-sama heard that Gokou was going to go to fight Freeza, he flipped out and told him that he could not go fight Freeza under any circumstances. He said that no matter what happened Freeza would beat him and give him a reason to go to Earth and destroy it. Gokou agreed, but he knew that he was going to go fight him anyway, since that was the only way he could get the Dragon Balls. Kaio-sama also made Picollo, Yamucha, Tenshinhan, and Chaou-tsu promise that they would not fight Freeza, or else he wouldn't train them.

Gokou went back to training, while on Namek, Dende told Kullilin that he knew where one of the Dragon Balls was. Kullilin and Dende took off without Gohan to go to Guru's house. Vegeta had noticed Zarbon's ki, and he was alone. So Vegeta figured he would go kill Zarbon so that he wouldn't have to bother killing him while trying to fight Freeza if the problem ever arose.

Vegeta caught up to Zarbon quickly and after talking for a short time they began to fight. Vegeta was easily dominating Zarbon and making sort of a game out of it. Zarbon finally decided that he would show Vegeta his true form. He boasted that this form was much more powerful than the one he was currently in, and that he could defeat Vegeta without a problem if he did transform. Vegeta didn't believe him until he actually did transform. However, even after this, Vegeta just laughed saying that he only grew a few inches, and that he would still be no problem to kill.

Zarbon started fighting Vegeta again. This time Vegeta had no chance at all. He was totally dominated by Zarbon's power and didn't even have a slight chance of winning. Zarbon beat Vegeta to the brink of death, then sent him speeding into a lake. While all this was happening Kullilin and Dende were on their way to Guru's. When they finally reached Guru they were greeted by Nail who took them up to where Guru was sitting. Guru placed his hand on Kullilin and checked to see if his intentions were pure. When he found why Kullilin was searching for the Dragon Balls, he released Kullilin's potential power, and gave him a Dragon Ball as well.

Zarbon reported to Freeza about his battle with Vegeta, and to his surprise, Freeza was furious. Freeza had already figured that Vegeta had hidden a Dragon Ball. So he forced Zarbon to go retrieve Vegeta and nurture him back to health if he was still alive. Zarbon went out and found Vegeta easily, and immediately took him back to Freeza's spaceship to be put in the rejuvenation tank. Vegeta remained in the rejuvenation tank for a short while, and while he was in it he devised a plan.

He finally got a chance to go through with his plan when only the weak tank operator was watching him. He killed the weak soldier and blew a large hole in the side of the ship to look like he escaped. Zarbon couldn't believe Vegeta escaped and Freeza ordered Zarbon to find him. However, Vegeta had simply hidden behind a large tank. When Freeza was yelling at Zarbon Vegeta quietly went to the room where Freeza had placed the Dragon Balls. Vegeta shot a ki blast straight to where Zarbon was floating, and then blasted a hole to throw the DB's out of. Finally Vegeta shot a blast of ki down the hall so that Freeza couldn't get to him. He finally got all the Dragon Balls out and left through the hole in the ship.

Freeza got there too late, but he ordered Zarbon to find Vegeta within an hour or he would be killed. Zarbon went out looking immediately, but didn't check the one place Vegeta had gone, the lake. While Gohan and Buruma were waiting for Kullilin to return, Buruma noticed that there was a Dragon Ball very close by. Gohan decided he should go get it just in case they would need it.

Gohan got to the village Vegeta had attacked and saw all the dead Namek-sei-jin. He was in utter shock that someone could be that heartless, so he buried every last one of them. After that Gohan went on with his original task and got the Dragon Ball. While this was happening, Vegeta had hidden all 5 Dragon Balls that he stole from Freeza and had also noticed Kullilin flying by with a Dragon Ball. He jumped out and followed him, and he also noticed that Zarbon noticed him as well and had started chasing him. Vegeta was overjoyed by this, he figured, that not only would he get the final Dragon Ball that he needed, but he would also be able to get revenge on Zarbon.

Gohan started going back to meet Buruma about the time that Kullilin landed. Buruma and Kullilin were ecstatic, but their celebration was cut short when Vegeta, then Zarbon landed. Vegeta told the two not to move, and started telling Zarbon that he was going to kill him. Zarbon thought this was just a bluff, but Vegeta explained that whenever a Saiya-jin came close to death, they gained more power.

Zarbon transformed and started fighting Vegeta again, however, this time, Vegeta was almost dominating him. Vegeta was getting beaten, but on purpose, he had Zarbon hit him to the ground, and when Zarbon came down to kick him, Vegeta leapt out of the way with dirt in his hand. He let Zarbon catch up to him and then flung the dirt into his face. This was when Vegeta started showing his real power. He easily beat Zarbon almost to death, and finally punched straight through his armor, and with blood dripping down Vegeta's arm, he shot a ki blast killing Zarbon without a doubt.

Vegeta went and forced Kullilin to hand over the Dragon Ball so that he wouldn't kill both Kullilin and Buruma. Vegeta, appeased by the gift of the Dragon Ball, went to gather the last Dragon Ball, which he had hidden and call forth Sheng-long (the eternal dragon). Along the way, Vegeta met up with Gohan, Gohan barely hid the Dragon Ball, and said that his Dragon Radar was just a gift from his father. Vegeta believed him, and left after only giving Gohan a knee to the gut (he didn't kill him because he was in a good mood).

Gohan quickly took off and went to Buruma and Kullilin to tell them what had happened. They decided that Vegeta would catch on quickly so they left to find another place to hide. Vegeta jumped into the lake to get the Dragon Ball he had hidden, only to find that it was missing. At first he had no idea what could have happened, however, after a few seconds he realized that Gohan had stolen the ball. He exploded out of the water full of rage and flew straight towards the cave that Kullilin and Buruma had been hiding in. Freeza, after waiting much longer than an hour for Zarbon, decided that he should call in the Ginyu Force.

Kullilin Buruma and Gohan finally found a good place to hide, and they all went down and discussed what they were going to do. Vegeta couldn't find them, so he decided that he should stay with his remaining Dragon Balls until he noticed Gohan or Kullilin's ki so that he wouldn't lose another Ball. Kullilin told Gohan about Guru and how he could unleash potential power, so Gohan and Kullilin decided they would go have Gohan's power unleashed. The two senshi leave and trust Suushinchuu (4 star DB) with Buruma. When they left, Buruma lost the Dragon Ball in the ocean, and then was captured by two of Freeza's men, however, she eventually escaped and got the Ball back unharmed.

Gohan and Kullilin finally got to Guru's house, however, Vegeta had also noticed their faint ki, and he came speeding towards them. Kullilin told Gohan to go ahead of him and see Guru while he stayed and held off Vegeta. Gohan had barely reached the hut
